Btw you know they shoot waaaaaaay over much of the time right? There's no way to get an accurate idea of the length yet.

Relax, fambrojenkins. I said speculation, and clearly it means the film runs past 2:09 from where it currently stands in the editing room, not capped at 2:09.

If it was less than two hours, that would be the biggest letdown lol. But, considering the epic nature of the story and all the ground they need to cover, I was kinda hoping for something around the length of the first LOTR, for example.

I would disappointed by anything less than 2.5 hrs.its the most practical. 3 hrs would be fanboy delight. MoS length will be a bit disappointing.anythinf lesser will be highly disappointing.
