Also, everyone else in the cast seems good, but the main guy redranger just feels awful. Cranston has a good voice for Zordon tho. That Banks voice was lawd bad.

This does feel like a cereal mix of scenes from other films.

I wasn't crazy about the new trailer, which mainly had to do with it going too silly/jokey for my tastes (Zack jumping into things in a yard was a bridge too far) and the use of hip hop. The special effects passed, and I like how the Zords look. Now I just have to see how the final trailer and reception go.

One thing I think we need to give PR some props for:

The Final Battle is during the Day.

Pacific Rim, Godzilla, hell even the first PR movie from the 90s, it was all set at night. Or in PacRim's case: at night, in a storm at night, underwater ect.

Yes I wish Angel Grove was your typical SoCal city knock off as opposed to a PNW town..but still its during the day and we can clearly see whats going on

I have to echo the poster who suggested that changing Angel Grove might be an attempt to avoid the "bit destructive fight in the middle of a big city" cliché. Especially since many people have complained, as we've gotten more of these types of films, that it's becoming overused and repetitive.

And that movie actually SHOWED a bunch of building being evacuated (and the one that Zod throws Superman into was deserted clearly), but people still complained.

The "collateral damage" thing has just gotten bigger over the last few years. The "Angel Grove conveniently has an abandoned building district" as Linkara calls it, might not be a good enough explanation anymore.

There's always been an aversion to hiphop, especially Kanye around these parts. Fits the trailer and is something the kids in the movie would've listened to.

I have nothing against Kanye's music really. I just think that it's overused. Like it seems like when filmmakers want to put "contemporary" music into trailers, he's one of the first ones that they go to, whether it really fits or not.
