"Crusade against Bane"? I'm sorry rags...next time I'll consult you before I post, so you can tell me how "Superflous" I'm being.

This is unnecessary. I wasn't trying to insult you just giving you my view of the situation as a third party as you and DoomsdayApex have been going on about this for a little while now.

First off, no one ever said Batman had a total win in TDK. But he did win and limped on to fight another day.

Yet when Batbax made the comment about TDK's ending perhaps showing Joker's words were true your rebuttal was that Batman had won the day.

As if trying to contradict what he was saying.

My point was to show that neither of you were incorrect and that you're, seemingly implied, intention to discredit Batbax post was misplaced and erroneous.

Second, there is a reason why I have my screen name. I know Bane's role in the mythos, thank you very much. And I know what he will do to Batman. And I too look forward to Bane hurting Batman, not because I'm a raging Bane fanoby, but because it will make Bruce's story more compelling, and make his comeback all the more better. At this point, you're telling me things I already know.

I don't recall where I said you didn't know the Batman Mythos.

You know a helluva lot more than I do, I know that much but in my opinion you've been marginalizing Bane because you find some people are overhyping him. The latter may be true but that doesn't make the former any more right. Its two extremes on either side of the scale and both are wrong.

As for people not overhyping Bane...I disagree. I'll enjoy Bane for sure, though

Again...I didn't say:

#1 people didn't overhype Bane - all I said is that I didn't see it happening in the post shown in this thread at this current time.

#2 You wouldn't enjoy Bane. - I have no doubt you'll enjoy this film, it's strange to me that you're projecting these ideas to my post when they're not even remotely implied

Why should anyone care if someone is excited to see their favorite character on screen?

That's a little ridiculous.

Yeah he just walks like the outcome is already predetermined in his favor and he just don't give a ****

That's a Joker issue.

When we saw Tom Hardy he came out and handed this comic to Security after he had signed it. It must have made its rounds to Bale

It's a Joker story through and through. No Bane, Catwoman, or an Al Ghul anywhere in it.

Joker is making a movie called 'The Death of Batman'. It is filming Azrael's Batman in action that he realizes it's not "his" Batman wearing that costume but someone else.

It's a great story. It's the first time Azrael meets the Joker.

I bet Bale loves wearing the Batsuit in this 40 degree weather, instead of the 95 degree heat in DT Chicago (2007).

I love that Bane does spin kicks, so bad ass...

Its clearly obvious to me, I'm not sure its clearly obvious to the Bane fanboys here. To them, its like this film is called "Bane rises"...

And coming from you, I'm not sure if calling Bane "Batmans greatest test" is more your wishful thinking than actual fact, but whatever.

Oh, irony! Thy name is thee!

I'd shut my trap if I were you when coming to 'fanboyish' The Batman.

Now, the film. No one is hyping Bane. The character was created to be Batman's equal thus the hype is real. Bane isn't Tim Tebow or Brock Lesnar. His potential lies in the hands of writers. Therefore, he can far exceed his accomplishments from the 90s.

You can whine, b***h, pout, insult, etc but the fact is Christopher Nolan selected Bane for a legitimate reason. And judging from everything we've witnessed, Bane has surpassed The Joker and Ra's al Ghul as a villain in Nolan's Trilogy.

How you choose to accept this is your business, but don't come in here and try to proclaim that Bane 'fanboys' are making the character larger than life when the Nolans and Goyer have established Bane to be this incredibly powerful force that breaks the Bat.

I think Thr Batmab is being a bit combative and a little too serious for my taste. It's only a movie.

We've always heard Modine's character's name was Nixon but evidently his name is Foley.. perhaps Nixon is his first name?

wow that sounds intresting..will find and read it :yay:

Maybe Nixon is not even his first name.

Were the Nixon and "key villain" info from the same source? Was it Variety? I'm open to the possibility that both info are not correct.

I'm sure thats true.

So now if I disagree with someone, I'm trying to discredit them? Ok, good to know. That sounds "Superflous" to me.

I'm not marginalizing Bane. I just dont think he's the greatest Batman villain ever of all time. Hes basically gonna serve the same function Ras, Joker, and Scarecrow did, which is basically challenging Batman in a different way.

Dude really? & let's hold off for a little before saying Bane has surpassed anyone in Nolan's trilogy especially The Joker.

Yeah. I totally think Thr Batmab is a jerk. :o:cmad:

....You seem upset.

All I'm gonna say is, i'm sure Nolan will do a good job with Bane, cause anything else I say will have fanboys jumping down my neck.

It's a matter of opinion.

All time? That title still belongs to The Joker due to 70-80 years of history.

However, it's my opinion that Bane is a far greater threat to Batman (rather than The Joker) because Bane is more well-rounded.

That's all. It's simply conjecture on my part.

This .

As cool as Bane looks and seems right now, he hasnt surpassed anyone just yet, much less the Joker... we havent even seen his performance to come to such a conclusion.

No sir, I'm simply ready for a debate. I don't hold back. If you pull out your pistol, I'll be ready with mine. And your comments clearly triggered that notion.

LOL the funny part about this whole thing is I really havent seen hyperbole about bane at all. People are just excited about the direction Nolan and Hardy are going and it looks like batmans in for a bit of a rough ride to say the least. But The batman comes in here and proclaims all he sees is hype about bane and everyones blowing him out of proportion and suddenly that turns into everyone saying hes already topped the joker-which I havent seen ANYONE say. But now its gonna be taken as fact that this is actually being argued somewhere.

Theres a reason the Nolans and Goyer chose Bane, over the other rogues. I'm sure they felt that he was one of the few (if only) that could possibly top the Joker, if properly utilized. If they were right remains to be seen.

If the rumors are true, then Bane is the villain that takes the cake.

Performance is not what matters here, it's the accomplishments that matter. Thus far, Bane has left Gotham in a warzone and disabled the Bat.
