Well I'm talking about popularity wise. Carnage is relatively well known and a lot of people want him in the movies. Venom and GG are usually made out to be his arch villians, Doc Ock a little bit too, though not as much.

actually Ock and Venom are pretty equal. it's just people who only know 90s spider-man who thinks venom is anything more...

i'd probably rank spideys as such.. based on how they effect both sides of his life and how dangerous they are. As well as story that they have.

Maybe Rhino's a mob dude or gang leader who comes into possession of his suit via the black market or something. He can work in that capacity. They could also reinvent him or flesh him out like Nolan did with Bane.

I can see this happening. I can see that maybe Giamatti is a mob boss who gets the suit from Norman

Carnage ? :| He is a B villain at best. Spidey's 'best' villains are GG and Ock, and maybe Venom.

My PERSONAL favorite is the Shocker. But on a dangerous adversary level:

1.) Green Goblin
2.) Doctor Octopus
3.) Kraven the Hunter
4.) Venom
5.) Kingpin

I have feeling people would complain about any villian that was chosen for this movie. Save for Doc Ock, Venom and GG, most aren't all that popular as a singular entitnity. Vulture ranks at the same level as Rhino, Sandman, Scorpin and Electro in terms of popularity. Beetle, Tinkerer and Kangaroo are C listers.

A-Ock, GG, Venom, Carnage
B-Electro, Rhino, Vulture, Sandman, Mysterio, Kraven, Scorpin, Shocker (possibly Morbius), Kingpin, Chamelon
C-Prowler, Beetle, Kangaroo, Hydro, Tinkerer

A's and B's are fairly well known (A's most of course), C's are pretty obscure.

I actually think Electro is a very good opportunity for great visuals AND to update the villain from the comics, as well as improve him (think TDKR Bane).

But Rhino may be my absolute worst of the regular Spidey foes. And I see Kangaroo, Hydro Man and Tinkerer... Yeah, Spidey's rogue gallery ain't the best, that's for sure. This is one of the instances where I'm hoping that the movies will drastically change most of them to something better. 'Cause the potential's there.

He volunteered for a program and the suit stuck to his skin. The suit gives him superhuman strength and speed. It's resistant to damage and temperature extremes too.

Possibility, they are setting up Carnage. Chains may be for Kasidy...the criminal insane. Oscorp could be testing on inmates from Ravencroft...maybe even testing this new Symbiote on someone.

I would be very okay with this if it's not overly big, if it's more like a suit than an Iron Monger, if Aleksei isn't a small dork and so on. The look itself is pretty sweet!

Because it ended up having the acronym, whoever made it decided to incorporate rhino characteristics onto the suit.

I'm really excited that this MAY be a chance for the robotics aspect of Spider-Man. That's something we haven't seen on screen yet, and doubt we'll see any more due to how many movies we'll get..

in a way i dread it when a picture of the rhino is up because im sure some will hate it and want it to be different, but hey

I just hope they don't go the cross-species angle again with Rhino. I know it was in the first film as a possible key to helping an ailing Osborn, but something tells me OSCORP might abandon that research after what happened with Connors and the inevitable negative publicity his attack brought.
