"When everything is over, when the worst has happened, there's still one thing left in Pandora's box: hope." -Root, 3/22 [BLACKOUT] The briefcase is basically Pandora's box with hope (machine) inside it[/BLACKOUT]

still can't believe what happened to Elias and Control...

I couldn't control myself and peeked at the thread before watching so I was so nervous all throughout because of all the sad smileys. :funny:

Goddamn. i bawled like a baby when the machine was talking to Harold. I lost it when it said that she's not sure anymore if Finch wanted her to make it out alive. :waa: :waa: :waa: You know it's bad when you want to give an AI a big hug. :lmao:

F-ck you, Samaritan!!! ARGH!!!

I never thought that it would be Samaritan that would end BOTH Elias (:waa:) and Dominic.

I can't be selfish though. I'm just happy that everyone in Team Machine is alive. :hurt:

There's still a chance that Control escapes, right???

Pink ****ing Floyd.

Don't mess with me, CBS, give me a damn renewal. I will straight up cut you.

That was an intense hour and almost too much to take in. Nolan and Plageman weren't kidding when they said things will be fragmented and chaotic entering Season 5.
Seems the only way forward is for Finch to rebuild and hope he can get the Machine up and fighting again. With no Machine, I'm not sure how they're going to exactly have the traditional numbers they've been getting every week. It will indeed be a very harrowing and hectic time as Season 5 picks up. I have a feeling it's going to feel almost like a completely rebooted show with how scrambled everything is.

I'm just not sure how well-received the show is going to be now that it has basically blown up the basic premise and the future is completely murky. Best bet in getting new viewers to replace all the initial old-time CBS procedural watchers who left is hope that POI getting on Netflix encourages people to binge watch and catch up so they can start watching Season 5 with us. You'd hope for a jump like Breaking Bad got after it hit Netflix but I'm doubting it'll get any real noticeable jump immediately.

Samaritan taking out Elias, Dominic, and Control's 2 operatives in a bluff move to take out dissenters and agitators was not what I saw coming. I'm wondering why it saw Elias and Dominic as targets worthy of being watched when I sure there are other crime bosses across the country just like them (unless those were also being taken out along at the same time.)

Wow, what a great finale. I got chills when Pink Floyd started playing.

I need a renewal TOMORROW.

I hope I'm not alone in this but I seriously want them to add another character to the team since it just feels too limited with only 3 main Team Machine members and then Fusco being an outsider to protect him from Samaritan.

[BLACKOUT]It was clever bringing back the compression algorithm, and certainly not something you'd expect to be brought back when watching that episode originally. Makes me wonder if anything from seemingly one off episodes recently will be brought back in future seasons.[/BLACKOUT]

I always had a feeling that introducing a technological advancement like his would prove valuable to the Machine but just never knew when it'd be brought back in play. Considering how few other tech/programming things on the show are left to be brought back, I'm not sure how much more they can mine from previous episodes.

Whether it’s planned or just opportunistic (:cwink:), POI is very clever about repurposing previous story concepts. For instance, in the second episode of the series (aired Sept. 2011) we learn (via a flashback to 2007) that Harold has programmed the Machine to delete itself - and the irrelevant list - every night at midnight. Then, towards the very end of season two (May 2013) this idea was revisited in the “Ernest Thornhill” episode. That’s some nice, cohesive writing. (And of course, the Thornhill Corporation made another appearance in last night’s ep.)

I can only assume it was due to the NBA/NHL playoffs?

****ING SON-OF-A-B**CH!... what is ****ing WRONG with the tv viewers today that they can't recognize a well-written and quality show like this?!?... no, just keep on watching the same old procedural s**t on tv and just play it safe, just like the network does... ****ing idiots... *throws hands up in air in utter frustration*...

if this show does NOT get renewed, I will just S**T!... ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

I don't even want to think of the possibility that this will not be renewed. :waa:

If it gets canned, I will be ****ing pissed.

Hopefully we can get a 13 episode final season.

I think we gonna need more than a 13 episode final season.
