Thats cruel, but sounds like it'll be really awesome on screen. Can't see how they can make this a family film though. Children will want to see it though i imagine.

I was hoping for emotional scenes like that. But the execution of it is important.

Weller's Robo seeing his face for the first time and thinking about his family, that was real sad. The way the scene was done, the music, just the realization that this poor creature has had his life torn from him....................that film should have won best picture award :p

We wanted to see the first one. And we did.

Wow, all of that sounds immensely promising. Here's hoping the execution is above average.

Yeah, I'm really intrigued with this script. I f'n love RoboCop but this new spin on things sounds awesome. Kinda reminds me a little bit of an Adam Jensen influence on things (Deus Ex Human Revolution) which I think is absolutely great! Can't wait!

Solidus, I'd like to ask, if Alex is aware of what happens to him. I mean, is he fully aware that his humanity is slowly being taken away from him ?

Man that does sound cruel and could turn into a good emotional pull for film. Man I really like to check the script out.

I couldn't describe it any better than Solidus did. The dehumanization aspect to this movie will be key. I hope Padilha really emphasizes that.

The more descriptions I read the more I like it. I Just can't seem to find the damned thing...

great to hear that people on here like the script

after that review from a few week's back, i was a little worried. but now i am more at ease.

one guy didnt like it. and he wrotte on twitter what he didnt like. why would you be worried? :cwink:

i am hoping for the best. i like scifi movies and this could be a great scifi movie.i dont care if its a good robocop movie. i already have one. i hope i will get an emotional good scifi movie. but it will be a hard and long journey until the premiere.

i look at this movie like on the Rise of the Apes movie. the movie was mediocre directed, had bad pacing, editing and had a very simple script. but the story of Caesar is so good on paper that i liked the movie only because of that. i think if all goes bad this remake could still be good only because of Murphy's story.

I know I like to read it to but haven't had any luck finding it. As for the bike it kinda sounds like tron 2 bike deal I think. But since I haven't read it I don't know if that is acturate take.

Wow, you really think so?

rise of the planet of the apes? it looked like every butchered FOX movie from the last 10 years. you could see where the studio demanded cuts .

i liked Lithgow and Caesar

The cast keeps getting better and better. I was very heated at the thought of remaking Robocop at first, but i'm holding out hope for it now.

Then that isn't the director's fault, is it? Two completely different things.

the director was hired only so the studio had a puppet to move on the set. it will be the same with Snyder on Man of Steel. the guy is on a tight leash.

Actually, Einstein, Nolan hired Snyder (after Affleck turned down the project). Zack had creative input from Goyer and The Nolans, not WB. The only thing he had to likely bow to was the 3D format and DCU connection.

I didn't think Apes was edited bad at all. I thought it flowed very nicely and was one of the best movies of last year. As for Man of Steel, WB won't touch the movie, why? because Nolan won't let them.

Yeah, I have to disagree with dark_b on all points also :(

I rather enjoyed ROTPOTA

One thing that I'm eager to know is how well handled are the scenes where they unveil the new versions of RoboCop.. can someone shed some light on it?
