also another thing wouldnt be that fun of a joke since the film is set in 2029 which is 17 yrs away. And would date the film a bit, where as it would be more fitting to have some made up person. But to get the joke across have it look like a celebrity of today.

I've got nothing against Bieber. I'll boogie down to Baby like a teenage girl anyday of the month.

The joke is just unoriginal and uninspiring. Pretty silly.

Execute Harry Styles from One Direction instead, he's worse than Biber...

I'll try and rephrase what I meant.

The joke of publicly executing Bieber is just plain tacky to me. Its not very funny to me because something like that is just too "modern". The public execution of a fictional celeb in Robocop's world would have been fine. But putting Bieber into that is just reflecting on the times of now, how we feel about him. I can't really describe it, but I just find it uninspiring, if it's meant to be funny or clever.

But if this joke was to be included...then I want Bieber changed to Harry Styles

I just don't want it, cause of how much it'll date the movie. If Bieber plays a character, sure, I have no problems with it. But if it's Bieber playing Bieber, I'm not a fan.

Yes, I agree. Like the joke would make the movie in itself seem like it's just been writen to reflect the feelings about Bieber in 2012 or something, you know?, when it's supposed to be set way into the future. Bieber could become a world wide hero where he's loved and adored even by haters in a few years time...so the joke will just obvioualy fall flat in any case.

I believe in Padilha. He is a fantastic director. He's got a great eye for action , and knows what goes behind our societies. Verhoeven's Robocop is a great social satire , and i think he really his a great choice to handle that aspect.

He's more known internationally for Tropa de Elite (Elite Squad) , but i feel his best movie is a devastating documentary , Bus 174 .

I just hope he doesn't get crushed in hollywoods schemes and studio pressures that end up completely limiting the work and vision of the director.

They've done suits and make up for other big movies such as Avatar , Iron Man etc.

This film all hinges on the robocop design for me.

I absolutely love the helmet and that they did the whole thing see-through instead of just in front of the eyes, and I also love the red laser eye thingy!

The costume in whole is a tad too black though, it needs something to break it up.

That must be SWAT mode, because Social mode is not as black if I remember correctly. Additionally, I did forget one thing that I was slightly iffy about was the fact that there is one human hand intact.

But I'm liking the look, I wonder how it will look on screen.
