They put ALOT of emphasis on that silver suit.

Much more than I expected.

Something tells me that the silver suit will be and important plot point. Maybe he goes back to it at some point in the film.

Either way, it definitely looks like he uses it alot.

It probably has more to do with the marketers being smarter than the filmmakers.

The silver suit IS Robocop. That's what is going to sell this movie to the general public. The black suit is incredibly boring and uninspired in comparison. Look at how many people on this forum got pumped when they saw the silver suit.

They'll have to step it up for the next trailer. Liked what I saw but I'll need to see more to see it in theaters. Just didn't have that grand scale or even something that was interesting.

Right, looks like one of those Cheap 50Cent DVD movies that has Bruce Willis in it for some reason. Only add a Cyborg and a couple of other actors.
Looks like a favor movie. "you wanna work with Chris Nola, ok you have to do 3 straight to DVD movies with 50 Cent, DMX and Steven Seagal.

Especially considering there is a big-ass bulky one (that doesn't appear in the toyline) and a more slimmer one, AND reshoots.

Wow, I just went on about 2-3 other forums I visit, and a lot of people are saying it looks like a TV movie. Hmmmm....

It's because there's nothing in the trailer that makes one go "HOLY F***!!!" or "FRIKKIN' NICE!!!" It doesn't have a cinematic feel to it. There's very little in the trailer that made me want to see this in a theater.

I for one loved the trailer. It really seems as if they're keeping the satirical commentary provided via the newscasts. Really got that vibe off of SLJ.

Hm, not sure how I feel about the trailer. I was really looking forward to the movie, and still am, but I'm not digging some of the changes. Also don't think this new guy has what to takes to top Peter Weller. His delivery of "Dead or alive, you're coming with me" was bad. Very bad.

Murphy's house was filmed ten minutes from me near my local comic store. Might go check it out because why the hell not.

I really can't wait for this film, but I think they'll push it back to June/July.

It looks generic. Not horrible but not anything exciting either. Honestly, he just looks like a guy in a suit, whereas in the original, Robo's body felt much larger than Murphy's.

I have mixed feelings after seeing the trailer, but I did like the voice when he says "dead or alive...".

However.... In the leaked script, which isn't much different from what we've seen so far, [BLACKOUT]the black, 4.0 armor gets destroyed in the climax of the film, with Murphy having to be "rebuilt".

I just get the feeling that he'll go back to the initial silver suit at that point. Hell, the script itself mentions that he goes back to using a police cruiser like the original film, would make sense if he got that look back.[/BLACKOUT]

Watched it a few more times. I admit it's a great trailer because it makes me want to watch the original one again.

As someone mentioned previously, I liked how in the original, it looked like his face was stretched over the metal. I think it added to the feel that it really was a robot body with just a human face.

In the original, it wasn't even his face. It was a prosthetic (well, at first it was his face, but it's implied later on it was removed/replaced). In the orignial, Murphy is 95% robot, but I like how in this he's actually human and slowly becomes robotic, I really do.

This film has a damn good cast but the whole thing just elicits a big meh.
