Now, you ARE aware that Jackman wasn't Singer's first choice, right? He was the best after the first choice had to drop out. I thought Singer made good casting decisions and I happen to think that Dougray Scott might have been a good Wolverine too.

Oh yeah, I'm aware of that. But actually, I heard Jackman came to the audition before Scott did & when Scott did the audition, he actually won the role. And they still has Jackman on the list in case Scott couldn't do it, which he couldn't so they ask Jackman to do the audition again. I'm sure it was something like that. I still have the issue of Wizard that mention about the casting.

Exactly. Jackman was the backup. Scott was the first choice.

I agree, he got elements of Wolverine spot on but his animalistic nature was not strong enough, but on a whole he did well

The only thing I thought he got right about Wolverine was the tough guy image. He was more like Han Solo than he was Wolverine.

im sure if the producers let him get bigger, he would look even better than Reeve, he would be huge!!

comon singer! let Routh get to the gym and show us some proper muscle like we know he can!

just look at his shoulders in the pics above, they are huge,
and dont forget he is 6 ft 4 so when you meet him in person he will be even bigger!

you can tell that if Routh put on even more mass, his neck would be even bigger, bigger than Reeve's, there is no doubt about it

the only problem is the neckline of the costume prevents us from seeing his full neck, which makes him look skinnier,

in my opinion the pics explain why rouths shoulders look so big in the suit. not because they are padded so much but because he has really big shoulders.

In overall build yes. Reeve got much bigger than Routh is. Plus he is a lot wider than Routh is. routh had been as big as Reeve at one time. I saw pics. But the studio did a survey amoungst women to find the sexiest body type, and Routh was contracted not to get any bigger due to that and the muscle suit.
