Thor's hammer was forged from metal of a dying star not some nano tech Jesus. This is ridiculous, someone else take over. My mind will go crazy with these kind of posts I'm reading. I'm out.

that's so vague though, just about everything in the universe ultimately comes from the material thrown out by dying stars. Including us.

It was nice for a change to me combining the sleeves with the cloak outfit. I love the traditional sleeved and cloaked outfit though, have zero complaints with it. Thor was one of the riskier characters when it came to getting his look right and they really nailed it.

I agree, they did a great job with it. Casting as well. It could have easily looked cheeseball.

I don't know what's worse, Maurisio baiting people or people biting the bait. :funny: At least the thread is active, isn't?

On a side note, you guys think we'll see better action/flight sequeces for Thor? Kinda like Falcon in TWS.

I've came to the conclusion it's just Alexi reincarnated.

I have no idea who alexi or AB is or was. Did he or she not like Hawkeye as well? Did he also believe that the mcu characters were a product of technology as opposed to magic?

The mcu hasn't really established the limitations of Thor's (hammers) flying abilities. The limits of thors abilities have not really been explored in all 3 movies he's been in. He body slammed loki but wasnt strong enough to send him flying through the floor even though it was a relatively thin floor since it was on a sky scraper. But he has shown that with the help of the hammer, hes strong enough to knock a car over on to chitauri.

He crushed the metal of Iron Man's suit with his bare hands, no Mjolnir needed. Iron Man dragged him at high speed up the wall of a mountain--and didn't even cause a scratch.

He also went toe to toe with the hulk with no mjolnir

^^ Yep The Avengers will be at SDCC expect a trailer or teaser or footage!

Ruffalo hinted there will be some Hulk stuff in that footage and I'm really looking forward to that especially :woot:

Not to mention that Thor made Iron Man fly with a headbutt, while IM couldn't even make him move.

I don't know about anyone else here, but I'm excited that we're finally going to get to see Thor tackle some Earth Based threats in this film, let alone threats that aren't related to Loki or Asgard.

I've been waiting forever to see Thor get involved with more of Earth's matters as opposed to only coming to Earth whenever something from his side caused trouble.

Great new pics of Thor today. I prefer his traditional look to the sleeveless look in Avengers but going sleeveless with the traditional outfit works really well. Best of both!

Where are they!!? edit, never mind i got them

Don't forget no-selling a point blank repulsor blast to the face. :woot:

There's no "confirmed" magic. But the way Odin enchants the hammer fo example really only works with magic

I really hope the up ante on magic in Thor 3 (Just follow Kirby example. Early Thor was SW before SW).

That's weird, I remember him hitting him with the hammer. Also threw it at him.

I remember the comic that came with the Avengers (or was it iron man? ). Thor himself says he loses his powers if he's away from his hammer more than a few seconds. The hammer must activate whatever tech gives him his powers.
