The guy who's going to get a move before Flash or Wonder Woman :cwink:

Wonder Woman.. Flash... movies?

^ And I like The Flash too :csad:, Wonder Woman's alright I guess.

I'm still foolishly hoping that 2014 will be the year of The Flash. It doesn't seem likely though. :csad:

Wonder Woman has a weak rogue gallery (aside from the Greek Mythology like Ares) but she's still an icon.

What's sad is Flash has the best rogue's gallery in comics and is DC's best character, imo.

Well, Wally is.

To me, Bats is number one but Flash is a close second in the DCU.

If WB ever decides to do a Flash film, I want Wally West. Barry Allen is okay but Wally is who I grew up with.

Yes. Thankyou. Frankly, I was upset that they brought barry back. Wally was the one in all the cartoons and stuff.

A Flash movie would be awesome, in a way Ryan Reynolds would've been more suited for the Flash than GL.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bats, but I think Wally is a great, great character.

Barry sucks and I'm still unhappy that he's taken the main Flash job back

The two comic book characters Reynolds would have been perfect for are Deadpool and Wally West.

Exactly. Rosenbaum's Wally was incredibly memorable. He was fun, exciting and a barrel of laughs.

Only the guy who was the main character in the best comic book event ever written :D

Bucket-Head. :hehe:

He's okay in my book.

I would have preferred if he did take the role of Wally West. Alas, WB had interest in releasing The Flash first. :(

I loath the way Barry returned. To me, this 'era' belongs to Wally... but don't say that around the DC lounge. :funny:

Oops...sorry. I was looking for The Avengers Box-Office Prediction Thread. They said it was down the hall, on the left, next to the bathrooms :oldrazz:

Nova may have a bucket head, but at least his powers don't come from a brightly coloured piece of costume jewellery ;)

Na, most of those guys hate what happened to Wally too. What makes it worse is, they didn't just bring Barry back, they've actually wiped Wally from existence and made all of his accomplishments, like learning the full knowledge of the speed force redundant, because now apparently Barry created the speed force? The ultimate insult to thousands of people who grew up with Wally.

And what for? Nothing more than fanboy urges of Johns and Didio. It's not even as though Barry was that great a character. The most memorable thing he ever did was sacrifice himself in the Crisis.

Ackles would be great for Wally!

I've been campaigning for Ackles for years now. With Supernatural soon coming to an end, it's time for Jensen to become The Flash.

The Avengers' success at the box office will make WB take notice hopefully.

Sometimes Avengers box office threads turn into discussions about the Flash... it's only natural

If the hunger games can keep the number one spot against wrath of the titans, I'm hoping the avengers can do the same against dark shadows

True dat. If they ever do make a Flash movie, John Wesley Shipp needs to make a cameo somewhere.

I honestly don't see that being a problem :yay:

Hey, you won't see another superhero with prettiest green ring in the comics. :p

Pre-f**kin'-cisely. :highfive:

I don't know what the hell the 'creative' minds at DC were thinking, but wiping away Wally (the most popular Flash) and making Barry the creator of Speed Force is a:

I don't think Reynolds was actively bad. But like Chewy says, he just seemed to be sleep walking through the role. Reynolds' brand of humour is better when it isn't limited to being PG-13. His style is almost crude and mean spirited. I think his lack of enthusiasm for the role was almost tangible. I think he went along just for the paycheck and with the hope it'd be a massive blockbuster success. It's kinda unfair that he gets a lot of stick for it, but at the end of the day, he was the FACE of the movie.

Most of the blame should certainly fall at the feet of the writers and the people who thought the script was good enough to be filmed.

And yea, the misuse of Mark Strong as Sinestro was a crime. Someone mentioned on another thread, GL should have been like Training Day, in space. With Reynolds in Ethan Hawk's role and Strong in Denzel's role. How awesome would that have been?

None of this mooching around on Earth being a sap. Who the **** wants a story about Green Lantern to take place on Earth 90% of the time?

Jesus that would've been great.
