THE BATMOBILE THREAD

Schumacher’s Gotham was good, I’ll give him that much. I liked Goldenthal’s theme. And with a few tweaks, Forever could be top tier.

I feel like we’re at the point now where we should be able to laugh at B&R. It’s currently no more harmful to the brand than ‘66.
66 elevated the brand.

It's a shame that B&R did more damage to the brand than a certain other movie with Batman and another character in the title.

I don’t care what anyone says BnR is hideously garish and seizure inducing. Full of terrible costumes, and physics that make no sense

Right, but those things are supposed to be. It's supposed to essentially be a garish, live action cartoon. They didn't accidentally make a movie with lousy physics and weird looking characters. They made an obvious homage to the 60's TV series and the Silver Age.

Batman & Robin is the worst of the live action franchise but somehow it's always been a guilty pleasure. It feels like Batman..but silver age comics, 60's show and 70's cartoons than post 80's Batman..which is less popular than batman we usually love now

clooney's b&r, on the other hand, can go suck a D!

Definently a bat shot right there

Yes, that’s what they set out to do. Doesn’t make it any less hideous and terrible

Without saying huh? Good, case closed

I'm not. Just saying it's not actually good or terrible. Not much to say and so topic closed kinda

..yeah hilarious. Maybe not actually closed. I'm just saying whatever

I tend to approach B&R as a saturday morning cartoon filmed in live action which makes it more palatable. Comparing it to the other non Schumacher films is just a fools errand.

Schumacher originally wanted to to adapt Year One or something dark like the Burton films but WB execs had their own ideas and vision. Especially for B&R obviously

When I saw the pics in small form I was a bit underwhelmed as it looked too Mad Max Interceptor, but when you enlarge them the car looks great from the 3 quarters rear angle, the fins and that crazy exposed engine are pretty cool. I admit I was hoping for something sleeker as like many the Burton Batmobile was the iconic one for me, but I think @Gold Samurai is spot on when he says this is industrial Batman, a different angle to "realism" than Nolan took.
