Sweet image.
This is from Vigilant's website. I know we've been discussing the lenses for a while, but I really think this is the PERFECT material for the Batsuit.

I gotta say that Keaton is the only Bat actor who I feel was really able to do something with his eyes. I love Christian Bale, really I do, but I never saw any emotion in his eyes. Ditto kilmer, clooney, etc.
Crying and the thousand-yard stare, being exceptions?
Yes because the Iron Man and Batman suits are exactly alike.Maybe I'm stupid(it's quite possible) but I feel like the Iron Man suit is considered one of the best onscreen depictions of a superhero's costume. Could you imagine if they tried to make RDJ's eyes visible through the helmet? It would look silly. Why on Earth shouldn't filmmakers take the same approach to Batman and his cowl?
I get where your coming from, but when RDJ is playing iron man they do those inside the helmet shots so you can still get emotionMaybe I'm stupid(it's quite possible) but I feel like the Iron Man suit is considered one of the best onscreen depictions of a superhero's costume. Yeah, I'm not the best manipper. I'm practically taunting BattleAngel to blow us away![]()

My chops aren't so hot today for some reason. That said, here are a new batch of pics! (by the way, your images frickin ROCK, don't sell yourself short. You especially do the eyes just about as well as anyone)
First up, what I'm calling SuperKaliVigilisticExpialadoFleck...
With white lenses (for some reason, sucking at this today more than usual) and a blackened cowl...

With 'natural' eyes (these aren't Fleck's eyes)

A couple of VigiFlecks that kinda got lost in the shuffle- if you blink, you might miss that these have Fleck's face and a few tweaks not there in the original...

In that last one, I made sure that the cape and cowl looked like they were one piece, or at least that the cowl wasn't a big rubber thing that had a cape coming out of it. I do think that is one aspect of the suit that Nolan knew well enough to do away with, and I'm very thankful for it.
I also think the Arkham suit looks great with the gauntlets and muscle bulk trimmed up a bit, gray darkened, belt made to be a tan rather than bright color, the white eyes, and shortened ears...

Dude had the Batman glare down.
Why does everyone have this obsession with Batman showing emotion? He isn't emo, he's intimidating. The entire point of his costume is to become something more than human because criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot. The only time we need any emotion is maybe back at the cave when he's reflecting either alone or with Alfred. When his work clothes are on, we don't need to see fear, excitement or anything. We need to see Batman.
It's not actually the eyes themselves that show emotion, it's the eyebrows.
