I feel an Iron Man level suit would over-shadow much of what makes him Batman.

As someone who doesn't care for the TDKR armor suit, I hope it doesn't overstay its welcome in this movie.

And by that I mean more than one or two scenes. Just give me classic Bats PLS.

Agreed. If it does indeed appear, I hope it lasts only as long as it takes for Superman to rip it to shreds, should be maybe ten seconds at most, because, quite frankly, any armor would be useless against Superman, unless maybe it was made of Kryptonite. I just think the armor is a generally stupid idea, which would hamper Batman more than it would protect him. I would rather him do what he usually does, and does best, is to outwit his opponent.

I am also not a fan of it and I do hope there's going to be at least some smart reasoning for Batman's decision to wear an armor, aside from "I'm fighting super strong alien so I'll just put this chunk of metal on myself and hope it protects me".

Sorry to be a wet blanket amongst the merriment of this armoured suit talk, but I could do without it altogether. Unless Supes is massively de-powered, that homely robosuit will be nothing more than a bat-eared coffin.

Guys I'm sure the director, writers and producers are fully aware of what Superman can do. They made him do it in the first movie. I'm sure they have a well thought out plot that makes Batman a worthy adversary.

We won't get Ollie Queen shooting him with a kryptonite arrow, but there will almost certainly be some variation of a similar thing.

That's why I don't get people saying over and over again an armoured suit would just be a coffin against a full-powered Supes. There's no reason to think that's what's going to happen. I mean I'm pretty sure Snyder knows what he's doing in this regard.

I'm not claiming it will happen. I'm saying: IF IT HAPPENS, I don't like the concept. I even said UNLESS SUPES IS MASSIVELY DEPOWERED. I don't like the robosuit concept PERIOD and I don't like that DKR fight. So, I expressed my displeasure. In order to make that silly suit work, they will have to depower him and I am not that interested in seeing a large metal bat hammer away at a weakened supes. And Yes, I'm aware that I might get exactly that, but NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE.

I'm just blabbing about my dislike of the robosuit, that's all. I'm not making any grand claims about what will or won't happen. I'M TALKING HYPOTHETICALLY.

In a cartoon of TDKR? I'd rather this fight not look like a DKR cartoon. I don't see how they could get away with making him agile in a suit like the one we saw in that CC footage. I'm not someone who whines about everything being realistic, but there should be some realism. Moving with agility in a large metal suit just doesn't compute anywhere outside of a cartoon world. But alas, we might get just that, so pro-robo folks shouldn't fret.

MrsKent, remember, Batman is in Supermans world, not the other way around. We don't have any Nolanism imbedded in this universe that we know of. The realism is still being translated and balanced as we go along. We will know soon enough how this armored suit turns out. Who knows what Wayne Enterprise technology is capable of in this universe?

I agree completely. I don't get it either. Both characters are fictional. You'd think Superman's powers are the universal laws of physics the way people talk.

I don't think people realize how ridiculous they sound when they say "In reality Superman would squash Batman in seconds, armor or not!".

Hello? This is not reality. This is fiction and both characters are subject to whatever your imagination can come up with. Superman can be depowered or handicapped, Batman can be given a infinite amount of things to even the fight, etc.

Stop limiting your imagination, people. None of this is real, so talking about how unrealistic it is for Batman to fight Superman is silly in the first place. I love TDKR because Miller actually had the nerve to make a story where Batman beats Superman. If he limited his imagination like so many people who claim Batman wouldn't last a second against Superman, we'd miss out on one of the most monumental Batman stories ever told.
