It does look great, but it's not quite the batfleck design, although it's certainly inspired by it. In fact I think I like it better - I'd love to see it done in a more realistic style.

The Robin suit definitely has shorts. There is a definite groin-bulge that curves all the way down, and is separate from the legs. There are two clear leg holes. Also, if it was the tunic, the seam down the centre of the chest could continue down below the belt.

I'd much prefer to see the cut-off tunic over some long green leggings, but this is DEFINITELY "shorts"

this is ridiculous.. why would snyder go with this corny suit... this design is like from the days when batman used to be childish and campy.. and when people actually thought batman and robin were homosexuals too..

Can't say I'd disagree. I didn't even catch it at first, so I was just admiring how gritty they made the Robin suit look. Once I noticed he's effectively wearing boy shorts I couldn't take it seriously anymore.

Makes the glossing over of the Robin saga even more of a baffling copout.

Yeah, I initially thought what some were describing as shorts could be part of the tunic, like Killer said. Having watched the trailer again on AppleTV, however, I too noticed the "leg holes" at the bottom of what appear to be -- yes, shorts. That's what clinched it for me.

On the plus side, they don't look like briefs. Perhaps Robin wore some other kind of fabric/leggings underneath as well. I'll wait and see how it looks in live action, assuming there's a flashback scene involving his fatal encounter w/ the Joker. As of now, it doesn't really bother me.

Yeah it really is a great piece of work. I've never had a problem with a female Robin, as long as we never see a very young Robin like Damien I'll be happy.

I guess I mainly like that it doesn't have QUITE the shrink-wrapped look of the real suit. And I like the design of the abdomen.

It's not hugely different anyway - but it's the kind of subtle change from movie to movie I'd like to see - as with the Cap or Thor or Iron man costumes, each one is about 5 or 10% different from the last.

I think it's pretty obvious that the damage done to this Robin ruined his eyes, and the bright coloured spraypaint represents how he can only see things now.Robin is Crazy Quilt
