I'm still not convinced that's an actual photo of the suit. It just screams "CG art."

I said it after I saw the CW trailer, and I'll say it after this latest Black Panther pic. BP looks dope as hell, but his suit just reaffirms that I do NOT wan't lenses like that on a live action Batman suit.

If Batman's cowl looked like that in the nightmare sequence and we couldn't see his eyes, it would take everything down a notch for me. We wouldn't see Ben's eyes move towards Superman before his head does, and we would obviously lose a lot of the intensity that will come from his eyes in the film itself. It works for Black Panther, Spider-man, and obviously Deadpool, but I don't see lenses like that working well for Batman, or at least not as good or effectively as the alternative of being able to see his eyes. It would look great for Batman Beyond, which is essentially how BP looks.

Also, since BP's mouth is covered along with his eyes and the rest of his head, his look skews much closer to Spidey and Deadpool than to Batman. The fact that Batman's mouth is visible changes the whole aesthetic. I also feel that both his mouth and eyes being visible are important in the sense that they are the only traces of his humanity, but also, stangely enough, give him a more beastial quality with the emotive qualities that come from those parts of his face, along with the sculpted cowl.

100% agree

As far as the suit looked in the new trailer: I thought it looked just as good as ever. Nothing bad came from it. I still love it.

Personally, I thought it looked better than ever. The more I see of it, the better it looks.

I don't think anyone was complaining about the suit looking bad. It's always looked spectacular. Just wish for a change, I and others here would get at least one movie or adaptation that has it all in terms of looks. I'm a bit irritated how selfish some people are with a certain aspect (you know what aesthetic I'm referring to). You guys have had 7 movies, 8 if you count this one, where you got your wish. Can we at least have our turn for a change?

Well, okay, since you asked nicely and it's up to us who have been selfish with our costume decisions for these films that are totally in our control. I'm calling Zack Snyder right now to have him add white lenses to Batman's cowl via CGI in post-production. If he's unable to make the change for BvS, I'll make sure they're in place for Justice League.

Don't do it!

Really, lets put the white eyes talk to rest. We're not getting them and that's that.

Admire the beauty of this cowl instead:

I know sort of too early to ask this. But how do you think they will tweak the Batsuit for the solo Batfilm?

That cowl's a thing of beauty but Batman looks confused there.

I get the comedic thing but not a fan of goofy looking Batman. I always saw him more as a deadpan humour kind of guy which barely reacts or shows emotion. Hence the dynamic between him and Superman. Here they give off a buddy vibe.

Going against the grain here, but I'm very slightly disappointed with the suit in the new trailer. Not even the suit, but rather just the cowl. It looks too thick and rubbery and I'm not really a fan of how it looks. I was hoping all the EW covers weren't really representative of it but they seem pretty accurate. I think they went a bit overboard with the bulk in both the suit and the cowl.

Oh well, there's always something to improve and the suit is obviously still fantastic.

I totally disagree, especially with the bold part.

Here it is, admire the cowl:

Mouth opening looks much better on film than in still photos, by the way. The cowl looks even better to me in the trailer.
