I honestly think this tech-cowl is just something that will be seen in the Batcave as one of Bruce's many gadgets and accessories, and not something that will be explained or featured in this story in any way.

Since this is a veteran Batman who has been active for quite some time, I imagine there we will see many gadgets in the background and different sections of the cave that won't really be used during this film.

But why have a dedicated stand for it,if it isn't going to get atleast some screen time? It was there with the mech suit and some of Batmsn amazing batarangs and sticky grenades. Seems like it will be used by batman Atleast once.

lol I nearly typed, "It's already been posted" but then I realized.

It seems that they really got the likeness of BvS batmobile. Still, with 89' batmobile already being there and "Arkham Asylum" one set to appear in the future, this one would not be my primary choice of vehicle.

Or it's inside the armored suits cowl.

Nah, the tech cowl has ears - it wouldn't have ears if it was just what's in the armoured cowl.

I don't think it goes over or under anything, personally. But if it does, it's definitely over the regular cowl and not under the armour one.

As to why he would need it in the batwing... have people seen the things some fighter pilots wear?

This helmet is a bit creepy actually.

Anyway, I agree. I am 90% sure that it's for the batwing.

I like that you can see some armour plates in this design, I just don't particularly like the shape of them. Something more subtle, in between this and the final suit and with more anatomical-looking plates, would have been cool.

That said, if the suit had been exactly this, I think most of us would still have been pretty over the moon. It's a lovely design.

With all those tangling wires I think it's safe to assume it won't be in the Batmobile or Batwing.

Perhaps an accessory suited for the Batcave.

Why on Earth is that a safe assumption? Why would wires pose a tangling hazard when he's seated in a cockpit - he's not doing the Charleston in there! I assume the wires would plug in somewhere out of the way and snake through the back of his seat or whatever.

You're dismissing tangling hazards when inside a vehicle moving at mach speeds, several thousands of feet in the air, with a button that literally shoots you out the cockpit?

I'm well aware of the gear pilots wear. I've personally not see anything remotely resembling what's on display there, which is more akin to a networking ITs work of operations, than anything appropriate for piloting.

I assume the wires would plug in somewhere out of the way and snake through the back of his seat or whatever.
If that's how it operates, then I could see it being more feasible. Most electronics systems today would like messes if you could see inside their chassis. Out in the open though, I'm not buying it for that purpose...

...UNLESS it's both; it's definitely for piloting. But remotely. Via the batcave. That sounds a lot more plausible given today's tech.

We'll see plenty of batfleck before we really get to see batfleck.

I like this idea. At least subconsciously it plays on establishing the whole 20 year history before we see him in Dawn of Justice. Great to have the Batfleck image imprinted in our collective consciousness before we actually see the movie. There will be a familiarity with this version that will only help to establish the new and hopefully definitive cinematic Batman. Great to think that he will be in Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, at least 2 Justice League films and at least one solo Batman film. Such a wonderful time to be a Batman fan.

Well said, Mistah J!

Looks like the cape has the pointy bits in the game screenshot. Sorry for the lack of vocabulary but I have no idea what that's called.
