I love just about every aspect of that film. I sometimes wonder if it would have been better received had the Watchmen characters been more of a known quantity.

Me as well. Well, maybe not the "Hallelujah" scene. :oldrazz:

Who knows? Though I never cared much how well received is the film I like. I tend to like some obscure s**t, so I'm kinda used to films I like being generally disliked. :hehe:

Indeed how could you. He's unforgettable.

Now I have to post this:

Yeah, I'm the same way. It still surprises me on occasion, though, when something I anticipate as having broad appeal doesn't quite resonate with the masses like I initially thought. It's like, "Hmm.. okay. Maybe not." lol

I don't think anyone was really worried about the prospect of that happening. I do recall some of us saying that we might finally get a scene where Batman's cowl hangs from his neck in light of Nite Owl's mask being worn the same way, as seen below.

I know man, the costume looked liked it moved smooth too, which is what we need to see from Batman this time around.

I don't know why people keep saying stuff like this. All the Nolan suits "moved" perfectly fine (disregarding the BB cowl). There was never a problem. He could do anything that was needed. Nolan just didn't film it in a way that showed it off well.

I bet the Nite Owl suit and the Begins one were pretty damn similar to wear and move in, being made in much the same way.

Remember we were all worried that Synder might make a Batman suit that looked like this?

I don't think any of us were worried. Actually had the suit been like this, we would have been perfectly fine. But then he threw a curveball with a comic accurate look and started a war between the purist and the adapters.

Niteowl had a kick ass suit. I'm actually hoping to see the CSA and have Owlman sport a very similar suit.

Anyone else curious what the purpose of the illuminated eye sections are for on the armoured Batsuit? Just for show, or do you think Bruce will have some kind of Iron Man-style visual interface?

Yup, I loved the suit when Watchmen came out. Not gonna lie, Nite Owl II wore my favorite movie Batsuit pre-Batfleck (yeah, I just went there, come at me bruhs :o). I still really, really like the texture and how he pulled off the trunks.

They most likely use a different cowl for these shots, but anyway, I'm happier by the fact that we'll see him with cowl hanging in the back than I probably should be:

All I need to complete the image is him sitting in front of the batcomputer.

Pretty sure Batman is on Jakuu in that scene.

To me it looks more like the cowl is just off, rather than folded back.

it's going to be folded back.

I think it looks like its off too, but I want to see it folded back. I do think/hope Snyder is going to give us the folded back version.

I'm also wondering about the cape. Theatrics and functionality only, or will he be able to glide in it as well a la TDKT style? If he can glide, that's gotta be one sturdy cape :o

He looks "teh puffy" there. I really am sick of seeing the same pose over and over again myself as well.

Looks like the first image of the Trinity.

the only problem with the cowl folding back is that it implies it is flimsy and not very protective.

I really hated it in Batman 2 (burton) when Bruce rips off his foam rubber mask to show Selena...

This cowl should have some sort of "helmet" structure inside and a way to take it off easier... Maybe there is a hidden BatButton?

If it does hang off his back, I hope they show some structure inside.

Yeah, souperman, that foam rubber mask in Batman Returns was terrible . . . especially when we see in the first film that the suit is bullet proof! And in the 2nd film (Returns) Selina Kyle is able to stab through this bulletproof material with one of her claws!

As much as I hope you're wrong about this, I'm glad you pointed it out so I can lower my expectations accordingly.
