I've got a lot of venom from members on this forum for voicing even small criticisms of the Nolan movies.
It's no different than any other site really.

It doesn't seem so bad now,but when the hype was still heavy for those movies......jesus.

Knee guards kind of make sense for him though.
What with how often he drops from the sky and lands on one knee.

One thing that suit gets really right is the trunk area - I think it's the best way to give both trunk lovers and haters what they want. On the one hand, there are no trunks. On the other, the leg pads on top of black pants there give the revealed black area the ability to break up the color monotony of the suit - which is the best argument for trunks in the first place.

Also re:

This is a pretty damn good illustration of why Blue/Gray makes sense. Look at how much blue and gray there is in that city scape - really, just load it up in a photo editing program and use the dropper tool.

One last thing that popped into my mind last night... You know how in TDKR, John Blake is able to tell Bruce Wayne is Batman by looking at his eyes? Yeah... that right there is pretty good anecdotal evidence as to why it would make sense for Bats to have the white lenses =P

(and yes, I know that it was more that Blake saw 'something' in Wayne's eyes, and not a direct comparison or anything, but still... The eyes are the windows to the soul, and I firmly believe that the white eyes would be *the* single most important thing to bring to this suit to differentiate it from the other films. Those white eyes in otherwise total darkness... that is a shot I want to see almost more than a full frontal of a kick ass suit!

Agree. Along with those bizarre Mega Man gauntlets that have cropped up since the AA games, they contribute to a blocky, clumsy appearance that just doesn't fit the character in my opinion.

I also like this one, it looks kind of like the CA costume. I'd want something little a more durable looking for a movie, though.

Yeah, that's interesting, but it has GOT to be a better fabric than that. And I'm pro-seams/lines to give a bit of detail and kind of hint at musculature but the actual design of the lines themselves on the New 52 suit is not great. Their placement is kind of odd.

One word....nipples. The batsuit should not have nipples, artificial or otherwise.

The armoured version was better, although the boots weren't great, and Batman needs some kind of groin protection.


BTW in defence of Nolan, Memento and Inception ! (personally, I dug the Prestige too). Inception was magnificent IMO !

Honestly new 52 has the best look, it looks like a high tech fabric combined with the slightly armored boots, and gauntlets, plus the white HUD lens and the gold utility belt. Not bulky full armored and not Adam west like above

You guys do realize that's Cosplay, right? Put it in the hands of a professional, that has a higher budget and has access to the right materials and such and it looks MUCH better.

Well, he visually looks the most like Batman out of all the actors so I don't see how it'll be laughable. Plus, this is a Zack Snyder movie after all.
