Sees a normal ass looking house:

If they put an establishing shot of this house in a trailer, and people come away from the trailer talking about how unimpressive the house is, this movie’s got much bigger f***ing problems. :hehe:

😌

I was just thinking I’ve seen some like it up where my family lives in rural Ohio as well, so maybe it is just a pretty universal farmhouse lol.
Honestly, the old wood siding, two storey century house that has typically been the model for the Kent Farm in the past is not very common these days as a working farmhouse in my experience.

Most family farms in my experience upgraded to a brick bungalow like that in the 60s or 70s. If the old century house wasn't torn down it would typically be occupied by the grandparents. A brick bungalow is also more practical in places prone to tornadoes like rural Ontario or Kansas.

Compared to previous iterations of the Kent Farm (Both Film & TV), this choice looks both uninspired and lazy.

Aside from his casting, all of James Gunn's creative decisions have fallen flat with me.
We haven't even seen one inkling of footage though lol. Nothing can be judged fairly until then. As far as the Farmhouse, all you need is farmland, a fence, a mailbox, a dirtroad, and a sunrise.

I can already picture Martha praying the evil out of Clark and Jonathan beating him while leering at Lana and for Clark finding his dad's porn stash.
"What is this, father"? "That's Kryptonian porno, son". "Why do they look like Coneheads"? "The people from Krypton are not that of Earth, my boy. They have cracks in their buttocks. We do not". "Here, take these. Don't tell the Hologram of your mother I gave you them.."

The Kent homestead seems to fit in alongside the suit as being decidedly unglamorous and comparatively ordinary-looking imo.

The photo of them setting up tents and preparing production in Ohio is from Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor off of Lake Erie. There's notification of movie production activity there on June 17, 18, and 20.

ITS. A. FARM.

I live in Minnesota, lots of family farms all over the place. Quite a lot of them look just like that. The Kent's aren't supposed to be wealthy they aren't going to have a massive homestead they are going to have a ranch style house with a barn at best. Probably older equipment too.

This is what happens when we go back to knowing/seeing very little to nothing about a movie during it’s production….

Gatekeeping what the Kent farm should and shouldn’t look like, haha. I do suppose it’s better than posting paparazzi pics of Ben Affleck eating pizza and wondering why he isn’t working out instead…… ahhh memories

I was simply observing, not criticising.

Holy **** you need to quit jumping the gun. I'm putting you on ignore because you've become really tiresome lately.
