Looks like a normal farmhouse to me.

The style of the house, with the darker brick on the outside and the lighter roofing, while not exactly the same, does remind me of my grandma‘s old farmhouse in Tekamah, Nebraska that she lived in before moving to the one she lives in now. Only difference is that this is a completely single story house, while hers was positioned super close to the river and had an outer deck attached to the kitchen and living room areas and a basement level.

Not all farmhouses in real life look like how they’ve been traditionally and stereotypically portrayed in a lot of media, much less past Superman movies and series. As a matter of fact, I’d be hard-pressed to think of or remember seeing any houses that look like that in any part of Nebraska whenever I visited there growing up. While I imagine some of them do, and I don’t mind any of the past portrayals, that style of housing is such an outdated relic that just really doesn’t exist anymore. Sometimes, they just look like plain, ordinary, down-to-earth domiciles, which is why the Kent farmhouse looking the way it does in this film doesn’t bother me.

For a character who supposed to have very humble beginnings, I think that’s very appropriate.

Well, I never thought the Kent farm house would be such a hot topic, but thanks for the entertainment guys/gals.

I guess hot take, maybe? I always liked the Smallville farmhouse the best tbh lol!

Completely agree, my first response to this was 'huh, kinda cool they are making it look more humble'.

Not that these pics give as a 100% clear picture of how it's gonna look in the film.

Although I am disappointed in the lack of any thing David and Superman/Clark related from the shoot so far, I can understand Gunn wants complete control of the story and the reveal of the film, anythings and everything would be so much appreciated and pounced on. Though the reactions on line, and the negativity of some of the cult are a good example why Gunn and David are in radio silence.

As for the silo in the "Kent farm" drawing. I think we have seen enough of David's silo from the Just Jared pictures of him in the black underwear in the water, that silo is intact and present. That silo is present, and totally accounted for.

Gunn's not radio silent. He posts frequently on threads and responds to things. They just have the set locked down for now. The "cult" is also a vocal minority, right? Can't live in your fears with this movie, regardless of the negativity the prior regime created. Zaslav isn't necessarily well liked either as the man running WBD right now, so Gunn's final product must do the talking in the end (as it always boils down to anyway). They're going to have to show stuff eventually.

My guess is that it's literally just gonna be pictures.
Is it still considered a flash back if a film starts at an earlier date and then goes 20 years later? Because maybe that's how Gunn is sneaking around that question.

I really don't think that's what they're gonna do.

So I thought I'd double check the info I've been collating and see what he actually said. I'd forgotten this one:

So yeah... either it's just photos, or it's some other kid in Smallville.

Or Gunn changed his mind!
