I mean... I feel like not even rembering having had sex and then finding out you are pregnant would be worse... no? 😅
Oh misread that part. I thought you said he let her keep their relationship memories, but erased the sex. :funny:

Should we be prepared for vaginal Phantom Zone black holes or phallic Kryptonian ships in this movie?

So besides the stuff that make her look like the character she doesn't look like the character?

And if you don't see it maybe get your eyes checked  :o

Stop the cap.

A leather jacket striped suit isn’t what your bald mind had envisioned for the first live appearance on film of Hawkgirl. We both know who would’ve gotten that aspect right the first time, but saying his name around here is like candy man or bettlejuice. :o But! Them lame leather team suits seems to be part of a side thread of storylines etc, so its cool for now. We shall wait. But be real with your toupee self. I’m merely disappointed for now, it was one of the easiest suits to get right after Superman. Especially for Gunn.

There was (briefly) a live-action Hawkgirl in the Arrowverse, played by Ciara Renée.

I'm sorry but CW suits always look so funny to me... It's like not even the actors feel comfortable wearing them

I maintain Superman IV was great on paper and could’ve made for a darn great film. It just, ya know, didn’t. :hehe:
I still love it...so much so that when Jon Cryer became Lex on Supergirl I geeked out WAY too much!

If anyone but Canon Films makes it that film crushes!

Only watched it for the first time a year or two ago. Veeeeerrry tedious as an adult. I can’t imagine trying to sit through that as a kid.
As a kid it is great! They go to the moon! Superman rebuilds the Great Wall of China...somehow? Jon Cryer is a weirdo nerdy punk rocker who is Lex's nephew! Damn I loved that film!

3 with the weird robot lady scared me as a kid. 2 was my all time fave but if 4 was on I watched it and never realized they just stole a bunch of stuff from 2

Why the extreme skepticism? It is a fact that we had a scooper last fall say that the movie's story involves Lex Luthor creating a Superman clone called Ultraman in the movie. A scoop which Gunn did not debunk in his usual direct manner.

Nine months later, we get set photos of a big dude in a full face mask with a big U on his chest manhandling Superman.

Now we are getting some slightly unusual actions on set like a crowd scene where the crowd reacts weirdly to Superman and he shuffles off walking funny or alternatively him stopping mid-flight to talk to a squirrel.

Naturally, we could be wrong, but it is more unreasonable and illogical to consider those who suspect a clone/Bizarro storyline crazy or without any basis for their theory.

Also, how is shooting these potential Bizarro scenes an obvious spoiler? Clearly the public are far enough away that we don't know for certain.
I do 100% buy into the Ultraman clone thing.. I just don't believe battle damaged Superman is the clone, mostly because all the "signs" that it's a clone have other explanations which are far simpler.

That post you were responding to was referring to #3, not #4 fyi! I can easily see how #4 would be fun for kids.

Exactly!

@dhandler01 since you said you have a hard time seeing the whole picture, this is my rough guess at a potential way the film could play out.

This is a world of heroes. Most like Terrific, Hawkgirl, and Guy are part of officially sanctioned/corporate sponsored teams. Along comes Superman who goes about things his own way and according to his own moral code. He can do that because he is more powerful than anyone else.

There is some sort of international crisis, Supes intervenes in an independent way taking no sides. The US government doesn't like that because he makes them look bad for picking a side. He starts to inspire the other heroes to act independently. The gov decides he is a threat. They commission Luthor to make them their own Superman they can control.

Luthor makes a clone, Ultraman. Clark gets really mad when the doppelganger does something horrible. Confronts Luthor, gets arrested by Ultraman. Ultraman starts to want to be Superman. Takes the suit. Tries to be Superman but starts degrading and people are scared of him.

Ultraman/Bizarro lashes out by getting something from Luthor's labs or the Fortress or something to remake the world in his distorted image. Luthor has lost control. Superman needs to be freed to face this threat. Big third act doomsday sequence that requires Supes to work along side a newly independent JLI. During the process, Supes convinces Bizarro to change his mind by being compassionate to him (not reacting in horror). The threat basically needs a Kryptonian to sacrifice themself to save the world. Supes is going to do it, but Bizarro having been inspired does it himself.

Superman ushers in a new period of independent heroes who just do what is right and not others' bidding.

There is a bunch of missing elements, but that is conceivably how I could see a big chunk of the film going.
Alright...I can see that. A lot depends on what the "Big Bad" is but I dont hate this as much :)

Thank you :)

I never really thought about it to be honest with you.

I usually believe that what you see in set pics is what you get, but the idea that these are the "corporate" costumes and that there are other designs waiting does sound a little plausible this time. I think Gunn would both chase the fun of using the classic designs and enjoy rattling the online crowd a little. I don't see someone giving Fillion that goofy comic-accurate hair but not want to extend that to his signature garb. Here's hoping.

Honestly thinking about Superman Returns... I wonder how safe Lois's life would have truly been had Clark not been around to bail her out.

No worries, if I had realized it was the big picture, that the issue, I would have explained it earlier. My wife has the same issues, not so much with narratives, but home finishes... She can't see it in the abstract and needs example photos. :funny:
