LoL here's an example of Pan & Scan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETGfeSim1K4
Whoa.

LoL here's an example of Pan & Scan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETGfeSim1K4
Has nothing to do with resolution, it's an aspect ratio issue. Pan & Scan crops the original image to fit a 4:3 (aka square tv) box. SD channels still broadcast in 4:3. HD channels by now should be all 16:9.Well that's only bothersome to those without HD, right? With HD on normal channels such as TNT I'd say roughly 95% of the image is there.
It's typically only seen on television.Whoa.How on earth can I tell if that's happening to my other films?
I fail to see how closed mindedness applies here.
Good job restating what I said myself. None of this was on dispute. Oh, and there is a difference between being stern and being abusive. Remember that, please.
Well, when you know everything, you come back and let me know. In fact when you meet any adult who knows everything, you let me know. Should someone at the age of eighty show unequal respect to someone at the age of fifteen or twenty?
Because children can not have a high level of intelligence and maturity. So, if an adult had a low level of intelligence, would you withhold respect, civility, and kindness from them? What if an adult showed a low level of maturity? What about an adult with low levels of judgment or experience?
Ha ha ha. This part of the post is funny.
I bet we'll hear tons from Anne at the Academy Awards on Feb. 27th! Though it might not be more than "I'm really excited".
Neither did Heath Ledger.
We're seriously doubting his casting again? People can have their opinions, and I'm not saying we're going to get the next Ledger here, but I think by now we can say Nolan knows what he looks for when casting his vision of his films.
Let's face it, in 11 months, we're all going to be here saying how much we love Nolan and his decisions for this film.
LOL that reminded me of the time I watched BB on an airplane. Half the time when two characters were having a conversation, you could only see one of the characters.LoL here's an example of Pan & Scan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETGfeSim1K4
Re: Deadline.com, they seem to have fallen victim to the same assumption that most of the Batman fandom has, which is that the WB's announcement is the end of the pre-production/casting process and that the previously reported 'two lead' stuff is/was false. I personally see no justification for doing so, particularly because the most recent of said 'two leads' reports mentioned that Nolan and Co. were going to be testing the actresses on their finalized shortlist over the next two weeks. If we haven't gotten another announcement concerning the casting of another female lead for the film by the end of this coming week or the beginning of the following week, it will then be safe to conclude that the 'two leads' reports were false and the actresses that were testing were all testing for a single role (Selina)..
I wouldn't say Caine would leave, nor Freeman. Possibly not Oldman either.
Considering the movies Caine and Freeman, and even Oldman have said yes to being in, I don't think they'd leave the Batman series just because Nolan left. This series is Nolan/Bale/Oldman/Caine/Freeman. All 5 are the "backbone", if one says they are done, they all are done.
Well, since you seem to agree on at least half of my post, let me just say this: Bane, if he makes it into the movie, would presumably take on the role of an assassin or bounty hunter. Like the swat team we saw in BB & TDK, it's more likely that he'd be properly suited for his line of expertise, as opposed tothe Joker, who was just a complete nut & wasn't afraid of death. Bane on the other hand, is trying to collect a reward, without being fatally wounded in the process.
As for the Scarecrow. Seeing him wearing a straight jacket, while riding on a horse made sense as that scene came into play, with him breaking out of the asylum minutes prior, and there were cops on horses around for him to hijack. On that same note, Bane starting off in nothing but a "wife-beater" and leather pants, leaping from building to building might not sit well with fans of Nolan's Batfilms, but maybe as he is deteriorating (so-to-speak ala the Scarecrow in BB), we see him tear off his vest as he's losing the battle, in a "f it, if I'm going down, I'm going down sweating and bleeding" state of mind...I can picture that scenario a whole lot easier.
If that's the way you treat a child, I hope you never have children. Children should be treated with kindness and respect just like anyone of any other age. If they do something bad, you can reprimand them or punish them, but you STILL TREAT THEM WITH KINDNESS, RESPECT, AND CIVILITY.
I couldn't hold myself back from replying to this one and its stupidity. I can't apologize for that. I feel very strongly about this. I absolutely HATE and DESPISE the term child used as if it implies stupidity. Children are intelligent human beings who deserve respect.
Νοlan always said that he only came back to the Batman movies (pre-TDK) because he thought he had an interesting story to tell. Same thing happened with TDKR. He returned officially as soon as he found another interesting story to tell. Why should it be impossible for him to come uo with another story?
Considering the movies Caine and Freeman, and even Oldman have said yes to being in, I don't think they'd leave the Batman series just because Nolan left.
If they like the director and/or script, I don't see them leaving.
Caine's films from BB to now that have been considered less than quality but he's enjoyed filming;Yeah, but usually once an actor has consistently been finding good quality work, they're hesitant to return to crappy movies, because they know they no longer have to.
