Pretty much sums up my reaction.
Hmm. I'm still wondering which Villain has the potential to redeem Batman in the eyes of Gotham's Citizens. Who could terrify them in a such a way that they'd turn to Batman for help? Let's not forget that in TDK, The Joker's threat in TDK had such an effect on the citizens that it caused almost the entire city to evecuate.
Thoughts?
Hmm..Phoenix was rumored to also be involved with the WW TV show and now she's in contention for TDKR? Not looking too much into that, but please..no to Perabo.http://***********/filmnerdjamie/status/2926108165017600
It actually fits with what IGN wrote a while ago, in their article about Tom Hardy's role. Catwoman was The East End's protector during Brubaker's run, and that's how she crossed paths with Black Mask. It's potentially interesting, if true.I can't remember where I saw the rumor I mentioned, but the gist of it isthat, if Catwoman's in the film, she'll serve as a sort of replacement for Batman in terms of his role as Gotham's 'protector'.
but please..no to Perabo.
Not a very big fan of that idea. If anything, I want Catwoman to be more villainous. I don't like to think of her as just a Batgirl wearing a cat costume. I certainly don't mind seeing her beating up bad guys, but I'd like to see her thieving and doing other questionable things as well.
True. I just find her annoying on her new show Covert Affairs. So I'm a bit biased.Perabo is a very under-rated actress imo. Certainly Nolan seen something in her in The Prestage.
This is exactly what I was talking about when I said it will be interesting to see people's reactions to the rumor if it's true.
I personally think it'd be a great direction for Nolan to take the character, not only because it would differ from some of the other on-screen portrayals of Selena that we've seen, but also because it is perfectly in keeping with the narrative that Nolan's established.
Just have the crime rate escalate even more in the wake of the Joker, and the absence of Dent.

i love how everyone is always saying that penguin isn't interesting and then throwing black mask out there. they're pretty much the same character
I like the idea of her being a protector in Batman's absence, but obviously with large differences that make her an anti-hero.

or penguin as he was done in returns (which i hated)
