Isaac and RDJ interacting on something important would be amazing.
Well, Krasinski made it to the shortlist If I remember correctlySee, when Krasinski was suggested for Cap, I didn't see it. You suggest him for Reed, I see it. I think he would be a fine Reed.
Well, Krasinski made it to the shortlist If I remember correctly

This is where actors like John Krasinski don't do it for me. Isaac feels much more "Reed" to me and I feel like he could hold his own better than some names that have been suggested.
I would be fine with Krasinski as Reed. I think Reed needs a bit of Cap in him. He needs to have those same kinds of leadership qualities that people would follow him.
I agree, I was in the same boat back then about Evans when his name popped up. Marvel really wanted him and I'm soo glad it payed off in the end. But I was open to Krasinski at the time too, he got pretty close to nabbing the role so they must've saw something in him. Krasinski has been in my mind for Reed since I saw him in 13 Hours. Which sold me on the idea that he could play a confident, arrogant, strong character who can be take charge whenever he needs to.He was the early favorite until the Marvel guys decided to look at Chris Evans. I remember the shortlist and when they said that Krasinski was almost a done deal, and I was very meh to it. As soon as Evans was suggested as a possible choice, I was all in. Glad I was right
But Krasinski I can see as Reed. Especially now.
To me, Krasinski is a bit too 'nice', and I think that works with Cap, but Reed has always been a bit of a jerk in my mind. He says things like "Ben you fool!" when Ben is, admittedly, being a fool, and I think that arrogance and impatience sets him apart from some other characters.
I like the idea that the smartest guy in the universe is going to be a little impatient and frustrated with how stupid other people can be.

He's not a "nice" character in that movie at all.
I would love for Doom to come across the non-Reed MCU superbrains and dismiss them as average while only attempting to outdo Reed, considering him to be his only competition.

Says a lot for what Doom thought of Stark back then. A clever underling![]()
Thats an interesting point. At first glance, I would have thought Doom was pretty impressed, but youre right. Hes saying: This guy is pretty smart, so Stark must be a genius. Hes not saying Wow! This guy is a genius.Thats an interesting point. At first glance, I would have thought Doom was pretty impressed, but youre right. Hes saying: This guy is pretty smart, so Stark must be a genius. Doom should've been able to figure out that Iron Man was Tony Stark.
Imagine if you go for a job at Stark Industries and you hold several advanced degrees in science and engineering and are hoping to work in Stark's science division creating new technologies. And then all Stark does is put you to work as his bodyguard.
That's like some physics professor working as the university janitor, using all his years of studies and research to mop floors. To be just a bodyguard (which is like working in security) would you really need all this advanced knowledge?
So Doom should've been able to figure that one out.
). All those half masks like Batman, even less coverage with domino masks, etc, offer no good disguise at all. With other factors, like Batman's obvious access to considerable wealth for example, Bruce Wayne's childhood tragedy etc, it would not take a genius in the real world to connect the dots with him. Even someone covered fully like Spider-Man could be figured out pretty easy when you think about it.
That sounds an awful lot like Sheldon Lee Cooper
Do you want Reed Richards modeled after the main character from The Big Bang Theory ?

Suspension of disbelief. Most superhero secret identities would not bear up well to any kind of real world scrutiny, investigation or even basic observation in some cases (...Superman). No.
Doesn't my description also sound a lot like Don Draper? How similar are Don Draper and Sheldon Cooper? Reed should be a lot closer to Don Draper.
And if we get Jim Parsons as Reed now, I blame you.
kinda feel like people are still picturing Krasinski as skinny/nerdy Jim from the office... looking at him now, I say he'd be a better fit for Ben, if anyone in the F4See, when Krasinski was suggested for Cap, I didn't see it. You suggest him for Reed, I see it. I think he would be a fine Reed.

tho, I've also considered him for Beast in X-men?
