You can tell it's bogus because it follows how most fans cast things.

Looking at the Fantastic Four casting, especially for the Storms, they just looked for actors with the right hair color. Marvel would never be that limiting when there could be a great brunette actress that could play Sue. Actors dye their hair for roles all the damn time, both Kate Mara and Jessica Alba did it.

Only fans cast in such a way. It's the same with the apparent casting for Jean Grey, Marvel didn't only look for redheads when casting Black Widow.

Feige knew exactly what he wanted to do with Spider-Man as early as mid 2014
Different circumstances there, bud. In that case Feige was actively pursuing Spider-Man since the Russos wanted him for Civil War and he managed to get Pascal on board with the idea. The Disney-Fox deal is not something he had any involvement in as its way above his pay grade and he had no specific plans for FF and X-Men when the Fox deal was pending. Let's also remember the deal wasn't a guarantee of happening given Comcast's new bid as well as it possibly falling apart since there was always a risk of the regulators potentially blocking the deal. Feige has said he's had "vague dreams and vague ideas" about the characters and that's about it. Its very unlikely at this point he has any solid casting ideas or story ideas for these characters as its only been like two days since he got the rights back.

Depends on the character and location. Universal Studios still holds the license on a number of characters in Florida, which is why Disney World can't use them. I'm not sure when that license expires.

Though he's not exactly Disney friendly, the one character the Mouse may be able to use in Florida is Deadpool. I don't know if he is pictured at Superhero Island and he may not be covered under the licensing agreement. Both Big Hero 6 and GOTG characters have shown up at Hollywood Studios because those teams weren't named in the contract.

And while I enjoyed visiting Marvel Superhero Island a decade ago, that area was wildly outdated even back then. I'd love to see an immersive Marvel environment on the order of Harry Potter, but even the plans for a Marvel area at Disneyland have been underwhelming.

And somebody like Ryan Coogler could be wanting to use Storm in his script as we speak. So like the Russos, Feige could be thinking about what he wants for these characters as we speak.

Marvel Contingency Story Plans For Fantastic Four & X-Men?

I personally don't believe these rumors but I also do not buy into the notion that Feige has no clue about how to introduce these characters or that he's just twiddling his thumbs instead of being in the writers room, looking for ways to establish these characters. Feige himself admitted that he's been thinking about them for a very long time

It would be hilariously ironic if Deadpool of all people was the Fox Marvel character Disney started using in its parks. :funny:

they were cool..... but I still preffer First Class.

Colossus treatment in Deadpool 1-2 is not a 3dimensional character. He was just "metal boy". Where is his human form? thats his true nature. He transform into metal when he wants to fight. But they just made him a CGI character, making him less real of a character and more like a parody. Thats not how the x-men should be treated.

. . . why the focus on whether or not he transforms, rather than that they actually give him a personality, beliefs and goals, and purpose in the story?

I saw Ant Man and the Wasp recently and I feel like Feige actually somehow vaguely teased mutant in that movie being tied to the Quantum realm...but how did he get away with that if it is indeed the case...lol

Janet gained powers in the Quantum realm and also mentioned the word: evolution very dramatically. lol

Maybe, maybe not. We don't definitively know. I don't care either way. If Coogler wants Storm they might let him use her, if he doesn't then he won't. I think there's other more interesting ways to introduce the character than a throwaway cameo in BP2 but I wouldn't be opposed to it.

I never said Feige didn't have a clue how to integrate those characters but I don't think he has a solid idea on how to do that beyond some vague ideas as he has said. In this case, I don't see him having any solid ideas for FF and X-Men right at thus moment since not even he could anticipate he'd get this many characters back all at once and in Spider-Man's case he was actively looking to integrate that character for Civil War. That isn't the case with X-Men and FF which he's barely thought of since the deal was announced. Feige is a busy man that has lots of other things to think about other the characters who's access is to him would be a coin toss at that point.

I have also thought that AM&TW may have provided clues as to how mutants will be introduced into the MCU. I think Peyton Reed even said that there is civilization within the quantum realm. Maybe a few mutants are already living in the quantum realm and then something happens that causes a merge with the world as we know it resulting in the proliferation of mutants.

That was my first theory. That Mutants exists in a parallel works within the quantum realm but there's been so many better theories since then

Watch, the Fantastic Four had existed in the 60's and were friends with Hank and Jannet but the government had sent them in a secret mission into the quantum realm. They got stuck in a dimension where they haven't aged at all because of weird slowed down time and Reed finally finds a way to escape but to them it was only months

Lol nah I doubt it. They'll be brand new

I'm also probably leaning to the skeptical side with those casting rumors- especially this early after closing- but just the fact that the discussion of the X-Men (and Fantastic Four) joining the MCU is even taking place (if only, again, in the form of rumors), has me ecstatic!

Mutants living in the Quantum Realm? They are human beings with a gene that gives them extraordinary abilities... Not microscopic creatures. Wrong franchise :ebr:

Who said it would be a throwaway cameo? He's still writing the script or hasn't even started writing it yet. There's plenty of time for Coogler to give Ororo a nice supporting role in Black Panther 2.

Feige says a lot of things just as all Holywood execs do. Just as the Russos denied the rumors about Spidey showing up in Civil War despite the fact that they said they were in active negotiations with Sony and Spider-Man was ALREADY in the script. These guys should never be taken at face value. They are trained by the Studio and PR department to give half-truths.

Feige has had 15 months to think about these properties and how to integrate them, even if he couldn't legally make plans. You really think all this time, has has been sitting in a room without so much as a thought about two properties he's repeatedly expressed interest in since the MCU was created in 2008? There's no way that Feige is just NOW only thinking about what he has to do. He has had longer to "unofficially" plan than he did for Spider-Man when he first started talking to Pascal in Oct. 2014. Only 5 months after the fact - the writers for Homecoming were hired with a complete story and vision

Btw Bob Iger said Feige has "A lot of ideas" about these properties so that just flies in the face of the half-truth Feige gave last year

They're baaaaaaack!

There's a slew of new rumors. To many to post on their profile

Don't like the idea of Naomie Harris as Storm. Can't they find someone less British?

Also isn't Emma Stone too old for Jean Grey? In fact, all of them are a bit on the older side, with AnnaSophia Robb being the youngest at 25.

And I don't like the choices for Professor X. Quinto and Shannon seem a little too villainous, as if you'd begin to doubt whether their motives are really all that pure or if they have another agenda. And Ethan Hawke doesn't seem like Charles at all.

And don't like most of the choices for Reed, especially Armie Hammer and then Eddie Cibrian of all people. How does Cibrian remotely seem like Reed? And does he even seem like he could lead a franchise? It's like casting another TV actor again, and one who hasn't even really led a TV show either.

A lot of those "leaks" just sound like fan casting they are trying to pass up as rumours.

I don't know that I can or want to sit through another Eddie Redmayne franchise. I'm hoping he just sort of falls away.

He was perfect for Fantastic Beasts its Rowling and her scripts that have let him down. I do predict well see Redmayne in a MCU film eventually same with Matt Smith. Hoping Smith gets cast as Nightmare in Doctor Strange 2.

I don't care for the idea of the F4 coming out of the Quantum Realm

I also feel like thats where we are heading though it would make sense in the context of the MCU that way they can separate themselves from the 3 Fox films.
