I've already gotten into debates about this too many times. Lol. Agreed to disagree.

Based on the casting of Shailene, I think we'll be getting a USM Mary Jane.

Safe to assume, unless they changed their mind on the direction they wanna go with the character.
I wonder, though. Shailene strikes me as a partier. lol Maybe they can do a fusion like they did with Gwen and blend some of her incarnations.
Haha I pictured her as more quiet/calm, but looks can be deceiving.![]()
Ok so...I came across a theory today regarding a certain scene in the sizzle reel, and I thought I'd share it. I know that it probably sounds a little crazy, but we hadn't really discussed this as a possibility. I know some people might seriously dislike this if it were actually true, but just try to be a little open-minded.
Anyway...
Many people think that that white-ish thing at the bottom of that pic of Peter screaming is Gwen Stacy's hair. To be honest, I can't really see it. Gwen Stacy's hair varies in shade and texture, and even in the high definition shots, it just looked like a solid white mass. Seven speculated that it was an optical illusion created by Peter's knee, and I really couldn't see that being the case either. It's just too light to be human skin. It also definitely doesn't look like any of the Goblin's gear.

but... take a look again...what if that is actually the top of Electro's dying head?

Interesting. I do agree that it doesn't look like Gwen's hair, and it does kinda look like it could be electros head. But I still don't think Peter would have that reaction for any one other than Gwen.
Well, if that's really him in Spidey's arms, then this is how I see the whole story unfolding:
Electro's whole motivation for becoming 'evil' seems to be him feeling betrayed by Spider-Man. Deep down he's always wanted to be the hero, not the villain. And I'm sure Spidey just wants to help him more than anything else.

Maybe we are led to believe that Electro had been successfully 'contained' during the Power Plant battle. The Goblin arrives, grabs Gwen, they fight at the clock tower, so on and so forth...
Electro escapes and goes to the clock tower to help Harry Goblin defeat Spider-Man, but somehow comes to the realization that was being manipulated by Harry all along.

He sees Gwen in peril

and remembers that she was probably the only person to wish him a happy birthday. The only person to actually take notice and be kind to him, when the rest of the world was cold and cruel.

Now is his chance to be the hero! He attempts to save Gwen (maybe he is successful) and in the process is tragically killed by the Goblin. Peter couldn't save him. Maybe Max gives a speech as he is dying about how he was always Spidey's biggest fan, how he had always dreamed of helping him fight crime, and how he finally got the chance to realize those dreams. He 'dies' a hero, but ultimately Spidey failed him and is left feeling... well...

Hmm, well if electro did die that way that would definitely be sad. I don't necessarily think it will go down like that, but it's an Interesting theory I will give you that.![]()
Electro is not going to side with Spider-Man, and he's not going to die, so...

Indeed, I think he'll shoot off into a power socket or something similar. Like how black suit Spider-Man 'killed' Sandman in SM3 with the water, but he turned up later.Didn't Jamie Foxx already confirm it when he said something to the effect of 'electricity never dies, it just goes somewhere else'? This has me thinking that he will 'die', but may return later.
I think there is a VERY small chance that Peter is screaming over Electro. Maybe a .1% chance IMO.
