Honeycutt's review got taken down. Come on, RT, fix it! lol
They are.

You know what's weird? I made a bold prediction a while ago that The Hunger Games would get a better RT score than TDKR. I don't necessarily want that to happen, but it looks like it actually could, which I did NOT expect. Granted, it's still early. I think TDKR will end up around the 87%-92% range.
The first part is great, but why the comparison to TDK? why not jsut a consensus on it's own merits as a movie?

Have RT consensus' changed in the past? It seems awfully early to put something like that up.
Yes, they have changed.

RT's being too hasty with the consensus thing. Will they change the consensus when the couple hundred reviews come out in the following few days ?
And as a trilogy capper. If Nolan pulls off a trilogy of well-received Batman films, it'll be the first time in the history of the superhero genre. To me, that deserves a ton of praise. It's the rarest of feats in the genre.
That consensus is tad premature. Would have been smarter to wait for a few more review to come in, maybe even wait til Friday.
It seemed alot of the appeal of TDK was that it was a great stand-alone Batman movie, and alot of the appeal of TDKR so far is how it ties everything up and brings everything back around to the beginning of the trilogy. Those unfamiliar with the entire trilogy might simply be looking for something to "top" TDK, while missing all the little nods and themes relating back to the beginning of the trilogy.
Unlikely, I've never seen them change the consensus. Irritating, it's WAY too early for a consensus, especially when many critics have said TDKR is the best of the trilogy. WTF is RT thinking?

To be honest with u i was never too crazy with the full circle stuff...i feel thats the mistake most 3rd movies make
Sticking the landing on a trilogy is rare, no matter the genre.
I'm pretty much left with Apur Sansar, Return of the King, and... I'm at a loss.
The Dark Knight Rises' Review: Falls Short of Bat-Legendary
"Merely great feels like the most backhanded of compliments, but when a filmmaker is coming off a one-two punch of pop masterpieces like "The Dark Knight" and "Inception," expectations get invariably raised for what comes next."
"In many ways, Bane is a thankless role for the talented Hardy. Not only does he have to spend the entire film with most of his face hidden and his voice distorted, he's got the unenviable task of stepping into the void left by Heath Ledger's indelible Joker."
"As trilogy wrap-ups go, "Rises" won't raise the fanboy hackles of, say, Return of the Jedi, but neither will it feel like the revelation of The Dark Knight."
LoL at this review. Its not the Dark Knight and there is no Heath Ledger.
