I've heard it said before that Batman, because he imbues himself in fear and uses it as a weapon, is categorically a terrorist. The key difference with his war of terror is that he's doing it to combat evil and is going about it in a strongly moralistic, even noble way.

Didn't realize Bane was so popular. A video with a collection of his quotes has over seven million views.

Watched the Civil War trailer. It's great to see how the Russo Bros can keep managing to frame superhero action mostly in live action. Not resorting tp cgi at the first sign of something over the top like Snyder/Whedon.

I really do see the spirit of Nolan's filmmaking philosophy in em.

^ I thought the very same thing. That Civil War trailer was epic.

Me too. Way more than I am for Batman vs Superman.

Not only was it what Tacit said, but the trailer had an emotional edge with the Cap, Bucky, and Tony stuff that makes me super excited. Kind of like when TDKR's final trailer came out and I loved how it was an emotional trailer rather than just showing the money shots, so I'm also way more excited for that film than BvS.

Honestly, the Civil War trailer did nothing for me. Felt very generic. Not saying the movie won't be good, but the trailer didn't impress me or get me excited. I guess im just tired of the team-up concept.

What i am digging, is Jessica Jones.

Exactly. There was way more emotional beats to the trailer, and didn't have that sterile feeling Snyder movies usually have.

Can't say I was too in love with the CW trailer, except for the Steve/Bucky vs Tony fight. That was pretty cool.

If we're comparing, I'd definitely say both BvS trailer's were better. But Snyder is a master at trailers. He's better with trailers than he is with movies, IMO.

Even though im losing interest in Batman vs Superman (which may change soon depending on a new trailer), i still want to see it more than Civil War. It's still the goddamn Batman. Civil War doesnt mean anything to me. I dont care for the characters other than seeing Spidey debut.

Same. That final MoS trailer is still probably the best trailer I've ever seen.

Wouldn't say best trailer i've ever seen, but that's me. It is fantastic though. I think it has more to do with Zimmer's score though.

I think the Civil War trailer looks quite good. Definitely more interested in this than Batman v Superman as well. Hope I'm wrong though but I don't think it's going to do much on an emotional level like the trailer may suggests. Characterisation and drama has always been the weakest aspect in MCU in general and they never really get into any significant depth. With the exception of the Netflix shows of course.

My problem with Winter Soldier, is when it gets to the final act, it's back to Avengers mode where Falcon and Cap are teaming up to take down the baddies and the stakes are gone once they start having a blast doing it. Out comes the "Woooo!!" and all these lighthearted quotes flying away like they're having so much fun. The whole thing with Black Widow disguising herself as the older woman. It just makes me roll my eyes. Of course the ending was great with Bucky saving Cap and just walking away. But it's that kind of nonsense from before that makes me expect it again in Civil War.

Im sure it's going to start off like a good Cap movie. The fights will be fantastic. They'll ease in the other superheroes. And then by the final act, it's back to Avengers mode with the team-ups. Party-time as usual. I bet the end isn't daring either. Why not kill Cap off or Tony? If they don't, that would be a waste. Especially if it feels like another Avengers setup going into Infinity War.

Batman vs Superman seems more interesting than a Captain America (and his team) vs Iron Man (and his). The problem i have with Snyder, is the final act and how he may force superheroes in there to create another CG spectacle. And of course to set up Justice League.

BvS will be the same exact thing and you know it. Except it will look like a video game this time and misguided super seriousness.

Everybody should watch the breakdown of the Civil War trailer by the Russo Bros on Empire. Reading that gave me so much confidence in the movie because the brothers were so eloquent and descriptive; they were also totally immersed in the story, themes and characters, no superficial BS. It reminded me of a Nolan interview. Absolutely no trace of the bumbling idiocy of Zack Snyder. Ya'll should watch it.

I've pretty much gotten use to the whole "team-up" angle with the Marvel films. It's their "thing".

Seeing that BvS is also doing it, it's just a thing now. The avengers changed the game. Having a superhero movie with multiple heroes in it is no big deal now. Hulk is gonna be in Thor 3 for example. Batman is in SS. I am sure Batman will be in other movies. Aquaman will prolly have someone else.

Well you're right about that last part, but it's not exactly the same thing. I'd rather watch the action in Winter Soldier than Man of Steel, but i'd rather they keep it serious when it's meant to be a serious situation. I can't stand all the quips.

I will, thanks. Maybe my mind will change a bit.

It's now everybodys thing.

You must've hated this:o:

I don't mind it. At the end of the day, these are grown men dressed up in tights. It helps to laugh about it.

Besides, classic Hollywood did it too. As I've just demonstrated.
