So, Sensei...you mind if the Panther bumps into Thor? I swear I'll be gentle.
I will claim your firstborn.
Please do. We could be swarmed by large men together.
No, he's dead. I always thought that the Hype was like the Matrix? That if you're character died here, then you died in the real world?
W00t! Time for a sexy party!
This is my favourite thing ever. That is all.
I do not even know what to say.
ULTIMATE MARVEL RPG VOL.2 SIGN-UP FORM
Screen Name: The Mighty Thor
Character you would like to play: Captain America
Powers and a brief description of the character in proper English: Steve Rogers was a frail volunteer for scientific experimentation during the Second World War, and was subjected to steroid treatments and extensive surgery in order to transform him into a super soldier to use against the Nazis. Taking the name Captain America, he became infamous for his skills in battle and his fierce fighting style. At the end of the war, while attempting to stop an alien missile destroying the White House, Cap was hurled into the North Atlantic and presumed dead.
However, decades later, he was found frozen in a block of ice and reawakened to serve his country once again, this time alongside the Ultimates.
Three reasons why you have chosen that character:
1. Cap is one of my favourite comic characters.
2. The Thunderbolts story I've seen in the other thread has a lot of potential for him.
3. The real Ultimate Universe has been screwed over by Marvel, so it'll be fun to explore one that's still intact.
What can you bring to this game? Although I'm not very experienced, I think I can bring some creativityto the game.
How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: It'll vary a lot, but should at least be once a day.
Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: I think so.
Provide a small sample post for your character, about 4 paragraphs with at least one line of dialouge:
The past few weeks had been turbulent and distressing for Steve Rogers, the man also known as Captain America. He was viewed as an icon of heroics and strong moral fibre by the general public, yet that image had seemed to crumble alongside that of his team's in recent days. The respectability of the Ultimates had reached an all-time low, and although Steve usually chose to ignore the media - having seen how effectively it could be used to incite sensationalism and bigotry in the War - he found himself doubting his costumed colleagues as much as the journalists that criticised them.
If the news was the be believed, Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch were in a relationship, Iron Man was selling weapons illegally, and Hawkeye was having an affair with the Black Widow. All Steve had found in the 21st century was sex, violence, and moral degradation, and apparently, such qualities were present even among those he trusted.
As he entered the living room of the penthouse apartment that S.H.I.E.L.D. had bought him, mulling these unfortunate events over in his mind, he found himself wondering how he had allowed their illicit conduct to fall under his notice. As the appointed leader of the superhuman group, he should have reined such behaviour in before it even got close to reaching the press; was it his fault that their world seemed to be falling down around them? Perhaps. But even so, he planned to forcibly correct it before too long. He paused at the long sofa at the centre of the room, choosing not to sit because he needed to pace out the frustration brewing inside him. Instead, he dipped down hit the television's on switch and continued to stride aimlessly as the screen flickered to life.
"So, without further ado, I present your Thunderbolts."
At that, Steve snapped to attention, his focus whipping back to the television. His jaw hanging loosely in surprise, he watched as Norman Osborn introduced each member of the government team he had assembled, each one sending a shiver down Steve's spine. The last image, in particular, caused every muscle in his body to tense - "US Agent?!"
Fuming as the crowd burst into rapturous applause, Steve grabbed his phone and began to dial furiously, only to be interrupted by it ringing loudly. Suspecting one of his fellow Ultimates to be the caller, he was surprised to hear the voice of an old friend on the other line.
"Steve, it's me. I need your help."
"What is it, Bucky?" Steve replied sharply.
Hope nobody minds me upping the antie for Panther and myself.
Fing Fang mother ****ing Foom? Awesome. By the way Sensei, I love your Deadpool.
Oh, and welcome back Mighty Thor
And I love you, you mother****er. You mother****ing mother****er you. I love ya.
approved. Welcome back.
I know this is sounding like a broken record guys but I will get some posts up when I can. Real life is kicking me around right now.
Cheers Venom. Where's Steve at the moment? Where should I be throwing him in?
Thor and Black Panther are fighting Fin Fang Foom, should you be inclined to open up a can of whupass on a dragon.
Whupassing dragons is always fun.
Has anything happened with Cap since Bucky and Gail died?
Nothing at all.
Which X-Men are available for play?
and Prof. X
I'm currently playing Wolverine, Gallagher's playing Gambit and Venom's playing Angel and Cyclops.
I think we're waiting on you, Sensei.
Yes, yes we are.
I'll have a post up later today.
How much longer can this arc with Fallen take? Didn't it start before the reboot?
No it started after the reboot and I have actually been busy for once hence my lack of posting. I have other things planned but if everyone wants it to be over I'll start cutting things.
Is anyone else even participating in it? It's gotten to the point where it's incredibly long, basically controlled by one player, you, and, really, limiting who can play what character. If someone doesn't like the arc, then they can't play an X-Man. If someone doesn't like the arc, but is already playing an X-Man, then they're basically out of luck and have to wait until it's finished. If someone does like the arc, then they have to read the entire season's worth of backstory thus far. Granted, that's happened in the past, with arcs like Project: Nexus from two seasons back.
But Nexus was easy to explain: mean alien shows up with a bunch of clones and is pissed off and crazy. decides to end the world. good guys kill him. fin.
I don't even know how to explain the Fallen arc.
