The Xbox One - Part 3

Yea you don't even need to see the face buttons. The XB1 version looks like a PS1 version compared to the PS4's visuals. I mean thats how far apart the two consoles are. Its uncanny.

Do you have a source for this?

Lol no. I was being facetious. I saw a comment about that image on like N4G and one of the comments was along the lines of "I didn't even need to see the buttons to tell that was the PS4 version, the two versions look nothing alike". Both versions will be similar. PS4 will prob have the better 'resolution' like we are seeing in some multi plat titles tho. But they won't be so different that you can tell without having to study the images.

are there any X1 demo units out there in stores? I saw the console at my local WM and BB, but both were behind a glass and no controller to actually hold and demo the thing

I heard they were all fake, so they wouldn't overheat being behind the glass/plastic. On that subject tho, i really wanna get my hands on the new game pads for the consoles.

I contemplated Ebay but they take too much of the cut. I put up my PS4 preorder on Craigslist and got an email from a prospective buyer for $650. As long as I get the system by the time Infamous comes out, Im good

My local Bestbuy had the Xbone setup and ready to play, so those ones weren't fake. I played a few demos on it myself.

The Xbone controller is so much better than the ps4 IMO but I guess it's the interior hardware that matters most. I just hate having the analog sticks right next to each other it's so stupid.

Yea thats exactly what i would of done. I would of sold my PS4 and then used that money to just get a PS4 come Feb/March when inFamous comes out, which is what i intend to do any way. I really screwed the pooch on that one.

Oh sweet. So you liked the new controller then? Anything feel worse compared to the 360s? Anything stand out that ya like more?

Also where did you get to try out the PS4s pad? Same place?

That's the ONE complain I never understood... The analog stick layout. That's never bothered me and I actually prefer it. I've held the Xbone controller too and IMHO it's not as good as the PS4's but I feel the PS4 controller is quite possibly the best controller I've ever held.

That being said I can pretty much adapt to ANY controller. I can honestly say I've never held a controller that I couldn't use due to comfort reasons. Although I can say that the DS3's triggers are garbage. Glad that's been fixed (big time) with the DS4.

Nah I was invited to a vendors exhibition through my work and got to try both. The Xbone controller feels very familiar but very natural to hold. Nice weight, great responsive buttons.

The PS4 controller still feels really light to me, like it barely even exists in your hands. I also am not a fan of the layout but I never have been, to be honest.

One thing I'll say is that the ps4 triggers are much cooler in design than the Xbone. They are angled in such a way that it feels more like a real trigger.

Agreed. When I played around with the DS4 I instantly thought the trigger felt like the trigger on my pistol.

I also agree that the Xbone controller feels familiar..I didn't really notice anything MAJORLY different about it.

Im with Balthus, iv hated Sonys pad since they went with the dual shock layout. Hate the stick placement and the fact they were convex along with the sloped triggers. Horrible design. However with hearing the PS4's sticks would be slightly further apart and concave and the triggers would resemble, well a trigger, iv been dying to try it out. Visually it looks amazing. Iv really had no worries on the Ones controller as it doesnt appear to be that much different and if it aint broke, don't fix it. The 360s controller is almost universally hailed as one of, if not the best pad to come along. So MS would have to work hard to f**k that one up.

The placements of the analog is obviously going to differ in comfort and such from person to person, but I still feel like Xbone has the perfect level of resistance in their analog sticks. Ps4 feels like the analog is just so easy to move around and floppy that it doesn't really feel as precise or comfortable IMO.

Oh nice. Sounds great on both accounts. Iv never had too much of an issues with the DS3's weight, so that doesnt seem to be bothersome.

Yeah, I bought a DS4... played with it..then returned it. Pretty much all the issues I had with the DS3 are gone.

Wow, if that really works out well I may have to reconsider and get both. I guess you could also send your PS3 through it.

You'd have to assume. I mean he says he runs his 360 through it.

Would we still need to plug in the PS4's AV chords & stuff? That seems like it could be a really good space saver if you don't need the chords.

No. Youd use the HDMI. So yea if ur TV has only one or two HDMI ports it'll deff be a help.

I don't really see any benefit in playing your PS4 through your Xbox? So you have to have both systems running, just so you can play a PS4 through a Xbox? What's the point?

Increase the likelihood of both overheating I guess
