If Microsoft unveils a 400 dollar Halo Collection bundle in time for Christmas, count on it.

I think they really missed an opportunity with not doing a Destiny bundle. But I am guessing Bungie deliberately snubbed them.

I think even that's a stretch but yea, say they do those numbers, it's not like Sonys machine will stand still. It's gonna be a hot item this holiday as well and the difference this year is they'll be easy to get a hold of.

I don't think so. Because it's more like choice, than anything else. You know you're getting an Xbone. You just get to choose the game.

Only really the Call of Duty bundle has a major feature change.

People like – limited – choice.

I read somewhere that they couldn't figure out how to fit both into a box... That's the main delay.

Sounds ridiculous, but bigger things have been delayed for dumber reasons.

The only time I ever bought a limited edition console bundle was the AC 3 superslim PS3 bundle 2 years ago. Came with AC3 and a 500gb HDD, which was a major upgrade from my previous one's 160gb

When people say limited edition, I tend to think more custom console.

Most of these bundles are just the standard console with the game. The PS3's in bundles like the GTA V or Last of Us, are actually just standard consoles they repackage into a bundle box.

Compare that to say... this.

I don't go for unconventional colors much, but that's pretty damn nice.

Still like my Halo Reach 360 console. It even came with custom sound effects. That was pretty neat. Maybe I'll wait till the X1 comes out with a similar limited console.

I think I'll get the Sunset Overdrive bundle. It's a good deal, and you can't go wrong with white.

I suppose, the packaging is. Otherwise it's just a standard black super slim, and GTA V. I got the Last of Us bundle, and it was just the game, and the console packaged separately put into a special box.

That's cool. I hope they do that with a franchise I'm a fan of. Then I might just "upgrade" my current X1 to whatever special edition they do.

Dude that is ridiculous! The ps4 has a 5 million unit lead on the X1 and much better press. I'm sorry, but a few bundles and a rerelease of a decade old game is in NO way going to give the X1 a 5 million unit boost.

well I hope I'm projectpac coz I'd like sony to continue its strong lead. Maybe I am reaching by saying it'll overtake, but it is certainly possible. first, you have to consider than the xbone isn't even out in the same amount of markets as the Ps4. second, phil spencer himself stated recently the real race is quarter 4 of every year. 3rd... dat halo collection doe.

Xbone isn't on as many markets because there simply isn't enough demand, and Microsoft knows which markets should come first.

Sony is going to continue to have a leg up on Microsoft just because of Japan.

The Xbone may out sell the PS4 one day, but it's a serious uphill battle.

It's going to take real killer apps. A Halo Collection and some decent bundles aren't going to cut it.

It won't happen before mid 2015 at any rate.

The X1 is out in every market that matters, primarily NA and EU. Japan and a few smaller territories isnt enough to make a significant difference. They would need to overtake Europe or NA for that to happen

MS didn't outpace Sony last gen and they won't this gen either. I think they'll close the gap with Spencer in charge and it'll look much like it did last generation, but I don't think they'll over take Sony. It won't matter tho, both platforms will just get stronger, regardless of whose in "first"

Not at first but eventually they did. They never overtook it in NA, but the PS3 sold better in EU, which is the largest market in the world and ultimately helped put them ahead. Throw Japan and the Asian countries and that further shifted the balance. Its neglible though as the numbers are still very close and one could call it a tie

I was probably thinking more about in terms of NA performance, and that's why I always thought the 360 had the lead.

just curious........but at the start of the last gen race, was the gap between the 2 ever as great as the PS4 over the X1? or was it much closer?
