"kotaku: If im playing a single player game, do i have to be online at least once per hour or something like that? Or can i go weeks and weeks?
Harrison: I believe its 24 hours.
Kotaku: Id have to connect online once every day.
Harrison: Correct."
i wonder what happens if you are literally in an area without internet.
And ironically the thing will still sell like hot cakes. The gaming nerds like us care more about it having to always be online than Joe Average Game Player does. And the kids won't give a **** at all.
"For single-player games that dont require connectivity to Xbox Live, you should be able to play those without interruption should your Internet connection go down. Blu-ray movies and other downloaded entertainment should be accessible when your Internet connection may be interrupted. But the device is fundamentally designed to be expanded and extended by the Internet as many devices are today.""Kotaku: If Im playing a single player game, do I have to be online at least once per hour or something like that? Yes, people who will buy a XOne and not have access to the internet are an edge-case, but it's still a possibility.
1985?
There are people who don't have/can't afford internet.
then you cant use it to play gamesI wonder what happens if you are literally in an area without internet.
honestly if you cant afford to have internet, then you shouldn't be buying a $400-500+ system. I can understand the internet argument from a geographical location standpoint but a person that prioritizes the latest new console over having basic internet service (if its available) leaves me scratching my headThere are people who don't have/can't afford internet.
Did they say if this has built in wifi or will it require a wired internet connection?
I don't know why anyone would even think that it would require a wired connection. That's like so 2005. Nearly every internet enabled device these days is Wi-Fi enabled. This is no differentDid they say if this has built in wifi or will it require a wired internet connection?
Im guessing MS figures if you are a gamer that's into the gaming ecosystem then you at least have internet and Id tend to agree with that
I am in complete shock about Microsoft's approach on this whole used game thing.
I dont know how many times me and my friends played MvC3 at each others houses when we only had one copy....and your gonna tell me your gonna charge me FULL ******* PRICE (at least 3 times in my case) in order to do that on X1!!! Insane!![]()

The game activation is linked to your XBL account. I don't think they've said one way or the other if it's possible to play on another Xbox if you bring your account/profile over (like you probably would anyway in that case) and start the game through your logged on account.
Who knows at this point.
You don't play games. My internet most definitely isn't stable all the time so this would affect meWhat will you do when you are having issues with your internet provider, something is broken on their end, and it takes time to fix? Basically, if for whatever reason you can't access the internet in the next 24 hours, this happens.

PHEW! Ok at first it was said you did but then Larry Hryb clarified you wont.
"Another piece of clarification around playing games at a friends house should you choose to play your game at your friends house, there is no fee to play that game while you are signed in to your profile."

bc you don't own the game. You only buy a license to use it. How that use is determined is by MS and the publisher. While that is a bit better, you can't just let a buddy borrow the game for a few weeks. If I pay $60 for a game, why can't I do with it what I please?
