The TV might even be cheaper if the box was $1k haha.
I guess you'd end up getting a new TV whichever system you go for, even Neo & the S.
I can't see myself getting VR for a fair while, will wait for the verdicts of other people.
haha. yeah, it would be something if the TV costs less than the console!!
right now, there's a $600 40" Samsung HDR 4K tv I've got my eye on. Maybe I'll get it when I get the Neo. Maybe it will be even cheaper by BF ( probably ). Most likely, it will be cheaper by the time Scorpio comes out next year or there will be a similarly priced newer model out.
but still, that's an extra $600 to factor in.
that's why I'm also curious to see if the Neo and Scorpio will offer tangible performance benefits for non 4k owners.
I'm already a bit miffed that I'm pushed to trade in my perfectly fine and functioning PS4 for an upgrade after just 3 years. And I'm not really looking forward to buying a new 4K tv as well to replace my current 1080p tv which is still working fine.
and yeah, I'm with you on VR as well. Not really interested in that right now, not even the PS VR. For one, my gaming area doesn't have the room for it......lol. unless I can use VR entirely sitting down, then maybe. But if I have to get up and move around, then no.
Plus, I'm worried about motion sickness and dizziness, which people still report when using these VR units.
