Her review was actually a 'second opinion' piece. The guy who wrote the other opinion doesn't seem to have his listed on RT, and he loved the hell out of MOS.
I'm not someone who bashes critics just because I don't agree with their opinion. If they didn't like MOS and can give VALID reasons for their criticism, written in a professional manner (such as - poor pacing, plot holes, casting/acting issues, etc) then I can totally respect that.
But I really can't take that critic who wrote 'whatever' seriously - the entire piece is a critique of why MOS is not the Donner version of Superman. As a review, it misses the point entirely. Did Batman Begins get lambasted for not being Burton's version? Perhaps by one or two idiots, but by and large most people saw that it was a new and fresh take on the Batman franchise. I hope most people can see that MOS is taking the same approach.
Yeah, it was, and not really by just "one or two idiots." While Batman Begins was mostly well received, many critics - AND moviegoers - drew comparisons to Tim Burton's Batman, and didn't like it as much.
