Grant is my favorite comic book writer these days. His Batman run might be my favorite run of anything mainstream in the comic world. His All Star Superman is my favorite comic story.

And I honestly can't imagine his Batman on the big screen, and part of me doesn't want to. It is the perfect material for an incredible DCA series.

He is certainly my favorite Superhero writer. But Neil Gaiman's Sandman just might be the pinnacle of the medium to me.

I think the reviews are not as negative as they might seem. Even the bad ones are a C or 3-5 stars. It's a 7/10. That's by no means a bad movie. A bad movie is a 4/10.. I do think the negatives don't seem that negative to me. I want a serious movie that's not full of silly one liners. I want action and fights... I want Superman to be the focus not the other characters. The people who are in the comic world seem to love it. I'm not worried about Rotten Tomatoes. There's no way this movie is worse than Fast and the Furious 84959. Plus Green Lantern is 26% so that means it's at least twice as good as that was. I can live with that.

If you think these reviews bother me, they dooooooon't...TA's record is going down!
The GA is dying for this movie, not the out of touch reviewers...:)

Let's look at other movies critics have hated...

1) The Wizard of Oz
2) It's a Wonderful Life
3) A Christmas Story
4) Psycho
5) Citizen Kane
6) The Shining
7) The Graduate
8) Apocalypse Now
9) Predator
10) Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas
11) Godzilla (original)
12) Fight Club

And more PLUS... they hated 'Les Miserables' when they saw it for the first time. Everyone working on it was afraid it was going to flop terribly. Well, it turns out good word of mouth started with the general public and it became a smash hit and classic it is today.

End all, be all, screw critics lol.

This was supposed to be our time, our turn. Ours. The older generation have had theirs.

If the older generation holds us back are we just going to sit there and take it? No, we leave home -- meaning goodbye to comic book world.

So now that this movie has dropped into the 60% range can we start calling it Man of Fail?

I don't think we have anything to worry about, but this does feel a lot it did back in 2011 with Green Lantern.

How about we wait until it actually, ya know, comes out before judging its success?

I think RT has had their fun with their little percentages, soon come Friday we will have our fun. :jedi

Have you not taught him the rules of fandom? You aren't allowed to enjoy all that the world of comics, film and television have to offer. He has to make a choice and dislike everything else. It isn't Cap, and Superman, and Spider-Man and Iron Man. It is or. :woot:

And it is really awesome to hear about a little one that loves Cap.

He refers to him as "Captaaaaaaain Americaaaaaaa!!" :cap:

He had a Spider-Man themed birthday party this year, but he had a Thomas the Tank Engine cake. My sister, she just said, "That's the one he picked, I don't know..." :funny:

Kid's priorities are all over the place.

Whoever was with me would of had to hold me back.

At least I still got to see Star Trek again.

Hope you aren't basing this on old movie ratings on RT which shouldn't be considered by anyone.

I assure you, the GA will turn the tide! You will see wonders...:) Over 200 million!

You say we shouldn't worry, and then mention Green Lantern in the same sentence. :funny: :oldrazz:

RT was an invaluble resource in 1939. It was literally a rotten tomato.
