The thing I don't get is, RT still shows the average rating is 7/10. How is that possible given the percentage?

Begins doesn't get enough love and respect. Without Begins we'd probably not have gotten TDK. But then again, without B&R we'd probably not have gotten Begins..![]()

I don't find it ironic at all Superman Returns had a great story (IMO) and although it left the comic book fan base split for the most part the GA liked it and the critics liked it. The problem with Superman Returns was if you put more action in it and if it didn't go up against POTC or released it in the fall it might have done better. Man of Steel I am sure will be great movie and I am looking forward to it regardless of the reviews my only point is SR was not as bad as some like to make it out to be. It was just different and show progression and a flawed Superman IMO.Looks like we have another Hobbit on our hands, low with critics but high with audiences and fans.
EDIT: I do find it quite ironic that it's likely to get a lower score than SR. (the way Jackson's Hobbit got lower than the 1977 animated version)

Yes, I might also say that it's the best written movie in the trilogy, on top of it's importance.Begins doesn't get enough love and respect. Without Begins we'd probably not have gotten TDK. But then again, without B&R we'd probably not have gotten Begins..![]()
This sucka better be good. I not only bought the walmart 7 pm showing tickets for tomorrow nite, but also tickets for the midnite showing...
I have faith that its gonna blow me away.
I for one, never go by what a critic says. In fact, if they shun it, 90% of the time it's a great movie. From the previews this "S" looks like it kick's ass and takes names!
Here is what was said from a causal fan on a rock-band website in a Man of Steel thread:
It's just going to be a case where it's low with critics, high with fans/audience and in the end, that's what we needed.
Out of curiosity. What is the main complaint from all the critics? Do they all agree on the same thing?

I have to be honest... I never expected this somewhat middling critical reaction.
67% on RT. 58/100 on Meta Critic.
I will admit, I always had my reservations about Goyer and Snyder, but I was still hoping this was going to be Superman's Batman Begins.
I know it's still early days, but sometimes when this kind of stigma dust settles it can be hard to shake it off.

So he didn't actually say anything at all?
