The Amazing Spider-Man Will the clocktower/train sequence ever be topped?

Best action scene Ive ever seen from a comic book movie is the end of Wanted went Wesley runs through takes out the whole factory. Hope this movie has some good action sequences tho.

Eh? Compared to the clock tower/train fight?????

I don't believe in the idea that something is untoppable. Have you all ever heard how no one is ever the best at something, because inevitably someone better will come along? I believe that film is just like this as well. Yes, the clocktower/train sequence can be topped. That is what I firmly believe.

Michael Jordan is still GOAT.

Certain things will never be topped. SM1 & 2 for me at least are GOAT in the SH movie realm.

In my opinion of course.

Greatest of all time.
Time is infinite. Therefore you are ruling out infinite possibilities when you say greatest of all time. That's okay. I'll probably forget I said this in a few days and do it myself. :oldrazz:

BTW, why are we discussing Back to the Future in the Spider-Man forum?

i used to watch that end sequence over and over again. its just too bad we didnt get more of this in the sequels. the 2nd ones ending with him swinging around the helicopters didnt even come close. i was hoping for some kind of action sequence like this in the sequel where it was a continuous shot and its just action nonstop.

Should the Lizard indeed be the film's antagonist, I always envisioned an epic fight between he and Spider-Man in the pitch black sewers. Spider-Man is only relying on his Spider-Man sense and the audience is viewing the entirety of the scene in a green, nightvision filter. Lizard is moving quickly and Spider-Man is mainly moving defensively, and the battle would eventually lead to a better lit area (subway, perhaps?) but that's just my dream battle

Ehhhhh.....Perhaps not the proper time or forum for this discussion, but that is quite debatable, IMHO :oldrazz:

I know, totally embarrassing. In fact, I am turning red from embarrassment. I mean the invention of the swing cam is totally lame. He should have focused all of his attention on a spinning room even though Doc Ock, Goblin, Sandman, or Goblin Jr. can't stick to walls. Venom can so I guess in your opinion a 3 minute spinning hallway fight was going to make SM3 an amazing movie.

Nolan is a man who takes pride in doing things practical, if he can- This is something to be admired. He doesn't go the cheap CG way every damn time... So the minutes in question isn't the issue pal. It's wanting to do something special for a memorable scene. Funny enough, the hall fight scene in Inception is already one of those! **** minutes - Its the awe of the moment!

True I don't mean to undermine Byrd, Chamberlain, Magic, etc yeah they were way better team players who had some major impressive stats and played incredibly.

All these guys are GOAT though when you really think about it. I guess I could say Jordan is one of the GOAT more respectfully.

I love Inception, but the hallway fight is in no way a top 10 fight scene ever. Tron Legacy had better action that Inception. Although I appreciate what Nolan did, it could have been better.

That scene will be topped someday by a movie but i don't see it happening with the new one. It's budgets just too limited to even attempt something that grand.

Ones again, the budget hasn't been officially revealed yet, so we can't really know anything. Besides, this movie could EASILY become more epic then the previous spidey movies, in other ways.

Yeah I feel you on that, I just prefer saying Greatest of Their Time, because I think it's too hard to compare different eras

it was perfect but only for that movie

my favorite comic book movie action sequence is the bar scene from Daredevil (thats about the only thing i liked about that movie)

I actually thought the fight stuff between him & Bullseye wasn't bad, especially in the church. I almost forgot about that movie

The train scene is one of my favorite action scenes, but I think it can be topped especially with Lizard as a potential villain.
