I'm totally in the minority, but I don't mind Halle's Storm. I really liked her in DOFP for some reason.
And I definitely think Shipps Storm will be expanded on in the next films. Isn't she rumored to be leading one of the spin offs?

Saw this on Memorial day, as a fan of the series I thought it was very average. One of the most average and boring plots of the whole X-Men series. They spent the majority of the movie cutting to different scenes and showing a small scene with each character. The final battle was also one of the most underwhelming. Like Apocalypse just stood there blocking attacks and didn't retaliate. The only cool thing about final battle was the Jean Grey scene. But yeah the plot of this movie definitely felt rushed to the point where it just came out as a generic bad guy wants to destroy world. I think an Age of Apocalypse adaption would have gotten far better reviews. Perhaps Apocalypse was not the best villain to introduce for the end of the trilogy. Kinberg mentioned that this movie is based on many of Apocalypses stories in the comics. I hope this was a lie because the story we got in the movie was very underwhelming and would not make me want to read Apocalypse stories in the comics. I like Singer for the most part, but I sorta always feel underwhelmed when coming out of an X-Men movie more recently. I think its time for a new vision.

Most Apocalypse stories are a little boring. He has an interesting backstory, and the Age of Apocalypse is cool because it spins some of the characters roles (i.e. Magneto is the leader of the X-men, Beast and Cyclops are villains), but it's mostly novelty.

His motivations are pretty straight forward. He could be cooler visually, and I agree, I wish he would have attacked more, but otherwise, he was pretty much spot on for the most part. He's not one of the more interesting villains imo

Chances are 25 moments is not canon

Well they said the wolverine was set 2 years after X3 and DOFP future portion was set 10 years after X3 so do the maths

Do we really think there was years inbetweern X2 and X3, how long was jean in the lake and how long was cyclops suffering for? D:

Again, DOFP is set 17 years after X3.

And it's set 10 years after The Wolverine's end credit scene.

Well bryan said

In every timeline that you can find online, X3 takes place in 2006 and DOFP takes place in 2023. And the Wolverine takes place in between. And that makes sense.

I think Singer is just confused with his own ridiculous timelines. The "give or take" part could add another 6 or 7 years to the 10, but I think he just screwed up.

Evidence on-screen tells us that TLS is placed in 2005.

there is no official timeline for this universe, kinberg did do that empire timeline thing where it said X1 was 2005,X2 was 2006 and X3 was 2007 but that same timeline also insisted that the X3 jean flashback was in 1981 and that stuff with young angel was 1997

At this point there is no official timeline, its open for whatever retcon they wanna do.

I always found the time of year in the X-Men universe to be a little off, especially in X-Men United. In Westchester and Boston, it's sunny and warm (going by the clothing people are wearing), but at Alkali Lake, there is snow everywhere and the mountains are snow capped almost to the bottom.

Rose McGowan is upset with the billboard that shows Apocalypse choking Mystique.

Screen Junkies just did an interesting video about fixing the X-Men franchise. Worth a watch.

It's a movie about someone trying to destroy the world and that image is upsetting people?

I have many ideas that I would love the X-Men Universe to take..... I think since the next X-Men is the Dark Phoenix Saga and is 10 years after Apocalypse Scarlet Witch should be around 15 or 16 years old(Age when their power are most uncontrollable) ...... I think the last action should be Phoenix vs Scarlet Witch..... long story short I think If Kinberg and Fox wants to start over their X-Men Universe, they could use Scarlet Witch to revamp or should I say another reboot to fix their time line(Reference to "No More Mutants" kind of story line).....Dark Phoenix killing her and QuickSilver mom's can trigger this action because she (Scarlet Witch) would want to live in another reality where her mom doesn't die, unleashed her most powerful power......... After this Fox should just admit their wrongs on the timeline and start new like nothing happen. They could still keep all the same casts but set them in Deadpool's current time line..... The new X-Men movie should just call something like X-Men Returns.lol...... So with this new X-Men movie they should just skip characters origin such as Cyclops and the other main core team member. Have everything establish already like the school and everything else just like the first X-Men movie in 2000...........What do you guys think????? I love these X-Men films but want them to connect so badly. They should have new blood to direct these X-Men films. How cool would it be seeing Magneto ripping Sentinels apart in New York...... Thoughts please?????????

I don't mean for this to be a blanket statement, but the X-Men films have some of the most ungrateful fans. I'm really at a loss as to what people want from this series. Everyone seems to have their own idea of how things should be, and if the films don't abide by that then they're garbage. That's an unfair way to approach a film.

Would be fantastic one last movie with the original Cast,a gift for the fans.
Rogue/Anna shining,Phoenix/Famke with fire bird, the most fantastic news.

Your not wrong.

I'd like OT to come back for The Legion Quest then go into Age of Apocalypse with improved Apocalypse costume and better Horsemen like Abyss Nemesis etc

This franchise has consistently focused on the same characters and the same themes for 16 years. It's been running in place since its inception. So I find it very understandable that people want more; I do as well.
