But really, even Eisenberg? lol, I feel bad for Cavill.

Don't feel bad for him. He's raking in a ton of money starring as a world icon and he probably delivers a solid performance in the film.

I mean, let's be honest here. Words like "outshine", "outdid", and "overshadow" are often applied to the flashier and/or newer characters in these things, and sometimes the villains (except for most Marvel films). Superman will likely be the most dialed back and stoic person of this bunch, which is kind of how it should be anyway.

Saying that Heath Ledger overshadowed Christian Bale in TDK is not the same as saying that Christian Bale gave a poor performance in TDK and didn't have a good role in the story.

Shape, you're seeing it tomorrow at the fan screening right?

Superman should be the most stoic of a bunch including Batman and Wonder Woman?

I can't even.......

Stoic -- a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining.

Maybe not the best choice of word in this case but my original point was that, personality-wise, he's more dialed black and less over-the-top than the others in some ways. Therefore, his is less of a flashy role. I was comparing him to Batman and the new Lex Luthor in BvS.

I did some digging in the BvS forums and read some complaints about Affleck, Gadot and even Eisenberg outshining Cavill.

Not surprised. He was pretty bland in MOS, and that's when there was no competition. Having Batman, Wonder Woman, and a hammy villain is only going to push him further into obscurity.

I thought he was good in MOS. The only scene that I thought wasn't that great, was the church scene, which I didn't think should have been in the movie at all. Other than that, I can't think of one scene where I thought he was "bland" in MOS.

I felt bad for Cavill recently. He wore a superman shirt and walked around in NYC, Timesquare and didn't even get noticed. That's what i call sad. Im sure that will change after this new movie.

Reactions for BvS are mostly good. So I'm optimistic about it. I've read the spoilers and it seems okay with me, too.

Lol, a 50 sec clip of him in NYC is him "not getting noticed".

You never cease to amaze me.

Well that's what the clip is about. He's in NYC, and he's...not getting noticed...even though he has a superman shirt on. What's your point?

Then he talks about it on Kimmel. That he wasn't noticed.

I wonder if Reeve would be noticed?

You're really annoying.

:funny:

I love how you think showbiz works. It seriously doesn't surprise me. Yes, things that actors, comedians and musicians say on Late Night are 100% real and unscripted.

I also hear Cavil actually breaks the Law of gravity, and is able to fly. No CGI
needed. That's why Snyder gave him the role.

I saw Chris Reeve at a Rangers game at the Garden when I was a kid, I think around 97-ish. Granted, him being in a wheelchair made him a lot easier to notice (sadly).

Asking why im stating that he's not noticed in 50 seconds, when THAT'S the idea of the clip and why it's out there.

You never cease to amaze me!

I admit, that last one was just so i can get a reaction out of you. Im disappointed. My Blake troll face was better.

John Blake is for sure the best Robin in live-action history. No contest.

If that's your best attempt, you need to spend at least 3-4 more years in the dojo.
