Unfortunately, it's hard not to in light of that awful animated movie that was supposed to be about Batman and the Joker, rather than Batgirl's weird love-life...

I still can't comprehend why exactly Bruce Timm thinks Batman and Batgirl are couple worth exploring. I'll take Batman shooting and stabbing thugs over that.

Pretty sure that love was only hinted at in Mystery of the Batwoman, I draw a blank on it every other time.

I believe that's part of the reason why dick and Bruce stopped talking between TNBA and Beyond

But again, lalalalalala I don't know what you're talking about lalalalalala

It was mostly subtle hints, no real showing.
I won't let it ruin the experience for me.

Do you have any positive thing to say about that world?

I'm not so sure I'd call the hints "subtle". Besides, while they may not have actually shown anything, it was still a very awkward thing to hint at, even for a couple of episodes. Besides, in light of The Killing Joke, I get the feeling that the only reason the DCAU wasn't able to go farther with their...relationship was because the network didn't exactly approve of it.

In regards to what positive things I might have to say about the DCAU, I do consider Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill's voices to be pretty iconic for their respective characters, and I actually do enjoy Mask of the Phantasm.

Someone made an interesting comparison in the JL thread. Avenger movies are pop and the JL movies will be like rock and roll.

Personally I think the better comparison would be that the Avenger films are the Beatles and the JL movies are Limp Bizkit

I am surprised they are attaching so much gravitas to what looks to be such a light, and jokey film. I mean, jerking off to being serious and gritty, isn't that their past time?

Well the Avengers films are terrible in my opinion so i wouldn't want to diss the Beatles. But it also depends on one's definition of "rock and roll", because a lot of rock can be considered pop.

They're both pop (JL and Avengers). One just might have some darker melodies, the other more upbeat and happy. And it's up to us if we think the darker tones are forced or not.

I wonder how a certain member will score Justice League once it comes out.
"Trope-ish, samey, taking no risks, and walking the same beats like every MCU action movie."

how hilarious would it be if the usual suspects hate it and it ends up being the best reviewed DCEU movie

I see a lot of fanboys saying things like "see i told you! critics gave it a good score all because they changed the tone. Which proves our point that the critics like jokes and not the dark s**t. They dont know anything! BvS AND Justice League are awesome!"

And if it's another BvS score, "they just love marvel and hate DC and Snyder, obviously."

It's a lose/lose.

let them continue to live in Delusionville

I hear its beautiful this time of year

Batman & Robin is one of his favorite CBMs, I doubt he'll hate a movie starring Batman, or rather a guy cosplay as Batman who decided he failed the man he almost killed by seeing him killed by the man he stole green quartz from.

And they will forget the comedic tone and dishonorable reception Suicide Squad received.

Rotten Tomatoes need to allow comments on critics reviews just so we'd see the continued meltdown.
Hoping no one shoots another death threat or something like that.

So what was great about Affleck's Batman that can be credited to Affleck?

His suit? The costume designer.

The batmobile and jet? The production designer.

The voice? Modulation. Alfred fiddles with the voice at the beginning and sounds exactly the same. So Ben didn't add anything of his own.

The fights? The stuntman/choreographer, and Snyder's directing/editing.

His Bruce Wayne was just Affleck playing Affleck with a slightly deeper voice.

So congrats to Ben for being a tall, musular white male? That's the only thing he brought to the role.

Haha, this hits home so hard for me.

Especially since I've seen the claim that Affleck was a much better Batman than Bale in quite a few sources. :whatever:

Btw, any of you heard of this rumour?

I really wouldn't be surprised, tbh.

It's his build and the way he plays Bruce that is his doing. I wouldn't call it great though, it's just fine. I do like his look a lot as Bruce Wayne when he's in the suit, batcave with Irons. I think the guy has potential to be better if he came up with his own ideas on a voice (minus effects), and better material to work with as Bruce Wayne. But the chances of that happening/changing = slim.

Both Cinema Sins and Cinema Wins gave him points of cool.
I think he was stupid, he went inside the dust cloud with no prep time.

If you guys are talking about me, I'll let you know that I review every movie fairly.

Oh we're talking about Kane?

I figured we were talking about one of the DCEU cult members
