18,000 years, and Krypton never updated their hardware, or their software.
That's spectacular.

Kryptonian astronaut suit/armor looks similar to Lex Luthor's battle armor.

How come Kal-El was the first Kryptonian on Earth? No other Kryptonian in history books...?

Superman wears Kryptonian garb, but he's the only one wearing a cape, none of the other Kryptonians are shown in cape.

Not sure how "test of strength = you might be able to fly"

50 minutes into the movie until we see the first smile, yeeee.

"They will run behind you, they will join you."

Did you know that for the 1978 movie, the studio wanted ^that^ guy to play the role of the red cape?

The flight scene is still awesome.
Flying over water effect is AMAZING. Useless, but amazing.

Is the flight in space what they call a "homage to the 1978 movie"?

I take that back about wooden Amy, she did a good job.

I think this thing Clark wore when he was with Lois by the tombstones is something he wore in 'Man from U.N.C.L.E.'.
Why did Tom Cruise drop out of that project?

"I don't know why I'm listening to you. You're not my dad"
I remember listening to a podcast 3 years ago commenting on this moment with this line "And this is how you know the father figure is about to die", just the way it happened in the first 'Spider-Man' movie.

Perry White is not good here, I don't hate him, but I don't like him either.

Yeah, that flight in space shot is definitely an homage to the Donner film, making it the second conescutive Superman film to recreate that shot.

^Thanks.

A light bulb explodes in the house of Kents after the start of the transmision, and another after the end of it, the rest of the lights remain undamaged.

They connected their internet to Earth's, that's impressive, comical, but impressive.

Not sure where they found ships they use to travel to Earth in after getting out of the Phantom Zone, that is unexplained.

BULLIES, cause... reasons.
Plato is there to remind us how deep this movie is. :oldrazz:

Smiles, that's nice.

"We can't let you out, you might carry some alien pathogen, that is why we allow this woman of Earth to be in the same cell with you."

Faora: "Give us Lois, we need her for exposition purposes, and for Superman to save her a second time this movie."

In the ship, Zod explain's his backstory, still no explanation to how they found a ship.
How come Kal-El didn't bleed when he first came in contact with Earth's atmosphere?

How did Zod enter the dream of Kal?

Artificial intelligence in that drive is cool.

To save the woman that raised him, Superman destroys a small town a distance from his house.
Starting with this point, it is mostly 40 minutes of battle, with little substance.

"Get inside, it's not safe"
I'm sure everyone running away from the terror you brought them were touched by the heartfelt warning you gave them, too soft spoken for anyone to hear, and you told them to do what they were doing a minute before you started talking.

:funny: god the writing is soo bad in this universe.

Keep up with the commentary people! They're better than the actual movies.

I took a break from watching the movie, had to have dinner.
I should've dined at IHOP.

The movie is inescapably average, but it is one I highly enjoy, wooden performances does not phase me like it does most.

"The codex is in his cells" and we see red blood cells.
I guess the Kryptonian physiology doesn't renew blood cells, or maybe Jor-El neglected that bit.

Trying to shift the gravitational field using the world engine somehow doesn't have that devastating an effect on the land.
Can't help but wonder what Ultron thinks of the event taking place in this movie, regarding his plan to destroy human life on the planet.

Perry White and his staff did not need to receive a call from Mr. Stern to evacuate the building.
I wonder why forgettable generic guy and his staff from BvS had to receive an urgent call from Bruce Wayne to evacuate their building.

Speaking of that asshat version of the character, it's a wonder he looked at all the chaos and ignored every Kryptonian in the conflict that is not Kal-El.

"KRYPTON HAD ITS CHANCE" is a moment I heard complaints about, but I actually like it considering the promise Zod made, and his vision of :doom:.

"The family is saved by the grace of the CGI cutting off."
That was a comment I heard about the people saved from Zod in Metropolis Central Station, and it's spot on.

Dude had his glasses off before riding the elevator, and no one said "Hey Superman"

Da problem with that scene is that it was supposed to be this great sacrifice, Kal El destroying his own people to save humanity. But Superman was never presented as giving a **** about Krypton, and neither did I.

What's the consensus on the upcoming Wonder Woman solo film?

Trying to find a reason to care enough for Krypton......

I got nothing.

In MOS, why does Michael Shannon sound like he swallowed a bag of marshmallows when he yells "DESTROY IT."

^Thanks.

Zod and his compatriots were imprisoned in the Phantom Zone ON the Black Zero spacecraft. When they were freed from the Phantom Zone, they were already on and in possession of a ship.

He was hungry?

A ship on autopilot, meant to be trapped in prison.
That's a waste of resources, and they whine about the lack of energy source.
