And Superman is the US. The guy who is supposed to be the hero who we look up to but he has no qualms about massive collateral damage and human casualties as long as he has his battle. Has weird bloodlust, solely in it for the girl, and is kind of dumb.

Bro, bro, bro. These characters are like the American myth. We're just expanding into why they're so mythological with mythic shots of them battling the final level from Gears of War. It's gonna' be mythic. We got this, bro

Just pack up and go home guys, DACrowe has won this day.

The general discussion thread in the JL boards was shut down due to it being a toxic hellhole. Someone tried to jump start it again with good intentions. The first few responses prove that they can't have a good discussion. Literally cannot.

I don't know why some people take it so personally just because someone else doesn't like a film they do.

Got no faith in JL. For the first time in recent history, I'm going to skip a CBM.

I didn't even skip Fant4stic. I saw it out of curiosity. With this I'm not even curious to see how poorly done it is. Sitting through BvS was enough for me.
Man, I'm glad I never went to see that Fantastic Four movie. I still haven't seen the second half, never will. I dodged Green Lantern in theaters too *pats myself on the back*

I'll see JL. I'm way too curious. If that and Wonder Woman suck, I'll be skipping the majority from here on out. It will depend on the director for The Batman, Suicide Squad and Superman. Aquaman for me has more to do with word of mouth once Wan's film is shown to critics, as well as what I think of Momoa in JL. I swear, if JL came out before Wondy, i probably would be skipping that movie...based on what I've seen from Gadot. Lucky for WB the marketing has been fine enough for me to buy a ticket.

I skip lots of CBMs in theaters. I'll be skipping this one too. Venom, if it actually gets made, is another easy skip. I won't go see something just because it was adapted from a comic book.

My friend and I, on a night of free movie points and drunken childishness, decided to see it for the 'thingless' Thing :hehe:. The whole time we were cracking penis jokes, while my other friend (who hates Miles Teller) was insulting him out loud every five minutes. Fun night. :yay:

I'll still see JL eventually, but I can't see myself paying for it. I'll probably wait till it's out on Blu-Ray.

Indeed. You have no obligation to see any of these movies. If it doesn't look good to you, if you're really not interested, don't waste your money. I still haven't bothered to watch Suicide Squad, for instance.

Smart move. Avoid that movie at all costs.

Suicide Squad is the second worst modern day comicbook movie, right after Fan4stic.

And in this scenario, Lois Lane is of course an amalgamation of fossil fuel resources and the ideal of growing capitalistic democracies. But that goes without saying of course.

Aw, bro...

I still would take Suicide Squad over BvS. I was mildly amused by Suicide Squad's bat**** awfulness, and Margot Robbie was pleasantly entertaining as Harley Quinn. BvS was also a mess, but the boring kind.

Suicide Squad is...weird. The script is pure dog****, but everything else about it is amazing (the acting, the soundtrack, etc). It's like looking at a beautiful golden circle that has a massive turd in the middle.

I wouldn't go that far. The acting was hit and miss for me.

Disagree. The action scenes are pretty poor and unimaginative.

The acting is hit and miss, yeah. The music sucked for the most part.

I don't think there was much wrong with the soundtrack, it was the way it was horribly used.

Like a 5 year old was playing with an iPod.

The music itself was like they looked at the biggest radio hits from the past. Lazy mainstream choices for a mainstream audience who probably only listen to pop or classic rock songs on the radio. That's what it was geared toward. And we've heard these songs in a million different films, so they were banking on that familiarity. It's slightly embarrassing. The only reason why I was fine with it when I watched it the first time was because I knew about all the songs going in. I had to tell myself "ah it's a fun time , don't overthink it",

Sure they used these songs too frequently like a DJ with A.D.D. But the music itself was facepalm city.

The weakest point of SS for me, aside from the ******ed hack-job editing, was the action.

Can't agree with that at all. The soundtrack was mostly a miss. The action is terrible. The editing is atrocious.

Man, the new JL trailer makes me appreciate the cinematography of Nolan films all the more. These films were also shot at night but they did a great job at keeping the elements separate and not muddying the frame. Everything about JL looks so busy.

There were rumors from credible sources saying that SS budget was close to 200 million, taking the reshoots into account.

That just blows my mind. Suicide Squad looks so cheap. The hell was that money spent on?

Talk about throwing money away on rubbish.

I love how the chase scene action in The Dark Knight is mostly without music, gives a it a more special atmosphere you can't have with modern Hans Zimmer work.

I thought there was a year between the end of Batman Begins and the start of TDK, I was wrong.

Heath Ledger in the gang leaders gathering listening to Lau's spoke the way Michael Keaton did when he was talking to Vicki Vale in her apartment in the 1989 movie.

We got the best of both worlds, because the chase scene in Begins did have a great score behind it. My favorite track in fact.

Agreed. That track is amazing, and it fits the scene it was made for.
