It was awesome seeing Spidey, Stark and Starlord side by side.

That concept shot of Thanos looked like he had an Under Armour vest on. Lol.

Damn, the Avengers do really have a great theme. Makes a "puff piece" feel majestic.

That concept art of Rocket fighting alongside Thor was pretty awesome

I'm excited but worried it's going to be a cluttered mess. Both movies in fact.

who's ready? because I am ready

True but it's still a LOT of characters and I also don't want to feel like it's just one big trailer for the next installment.

That video seemed overhyped to me. I mean, it is a huge event but the music was a little much.

Someone said "Infinity Wars copied the plot of JL", I had no desire to reply there to mention how this was in plan before we got to see BvS.

I know TDK's been picked apart beyond death by now, but this analysis ("Elvis would make a great Batman") came across as fresh and very well thought out.

Channel itself is pretty new as far as I can tell and dude's also got a couple of quality videos on BvS and how badly Snyder ****ed up Superman's character.

That is a great and deep analysis that points to some things I never put together in the film, as much as I've examined it over the years. But I have to disagree with his assertion that Batman as a persona is figuratively killed by the Joker. The point of Batman's sacrifice at the end is that it inverts him as a symbol, to become a villainous icon that inspires enmity rather than a heroic one that inspires good. He adapts to ensure the city's safety and the Joker's defeat and even though he disappears for years afterward he never stops existing. Gordon destroying the signal would seem to suggest that he's "dead" and Bruce wonders aloud if Batman can still exist but the reality is that he doesn't actually cease because, as a symbol, he can't. A legend, an idea cannot be undone. It's evidenced by how the mayor and members of Gotham's elite get together for Harvey Dent Day and tell the story of how Batman betrayed and murdered their great paragon. I don't think Batman can ever be killed, really. The only way would be to unmask him. Then the symbolism ceases to be. It becomes about Bruce Wayne, a corruptible and finite man, saving the day instead of Batman who is "more than just a man".

Im with you on that Brother Jack. I liked the video. It was very well thought out. But i disagreed with that part as well.

Apparently Ben wants out of playing Batman.

A month ago, while promoting his passion project Live by Night — which he directed, wrote, produced, and starred in — on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ben Affleck confirmed that he would be directing The Batman, his first standalone film as the Caped Crusader.

However, after Live by Night bombed at the box office — causing a $75 million loss for Warner Bros. — Affleck reportedly experienced a crisis of confidence, questioning whether or not he could simultaneously direct and star in a big-budget superhero movie.

In the end, Affleck chose to step down as director of The Batman. And according to recent reports, Matt Reeves, the talented director behind Cloverfield (2008) and Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes (2014),will take the helm.

While many of us had hoped that would put an end to all the drama surrounding The Batman, John Campea is now claiming that three separate sources have told him over the past four days that Affleck no longer wants to be The Dark Knight in the DCEU.

"Ben Affleck, make no mistake, he does want out," Campea shared on today's episode of Collider Movie Talk. "He doesn't want to be Batman anymore." He added, "I've been told, Ben Affleck is talking with Warner Bros. in an attempt to get out of being Batman. And if they do not let him out of being Batman, the standalone Batman film that ultimately happens will be the last time we see Ben Affleck as Batman."

If it's true I can't say I blame him.

You make a good point there and I certainly share the interpretation of the symbolism of Batman's sacrifice at the end of the movie. I think what the author of the video meant through that, although it's not made abundantly clear, is that Bruce's own perception of what it means to be Batman shifts, not the symbol itself, which as you rightly point out can be never be killed as long as the secret identity is not revealed to the public at large.

It's one of the main themes of TDK, I think, the idea that once Bruce has started the Batman mission there's no easy way out of it like he tries with Harvey. It's this shift in how he perceives and understands the Batman mission - his mission, that inform his sacrifice by the end of the movie. As is mentioned in the video, he understands that the right thing to do and the meaning of that notion is irrespective of whether or not others perceive you as doing the right thing.

I wonder how the DCEU defense force would spin it if Ben does leave.

"Oh, it was just a part of the plan after all. Who the actor is doesn't really matter. It's all about Matt Reeves and oscar winner Terrio."

Some would probably say that the pressure from fanboys caused Ben to quit and that we don't deserve him.
