The Dark Knight Rises You Have My Permission To Lounge - Part 9

Jeremy Jahns and Mr. Sunday Movies have posted their reviews of Justice League and they seemed to like it. They both said it's not terrible, it's not excellent either, but good enough that you can tell WB is trying to right the ship's course and the film is entertaining.

Something I've been mulling over in my noggin lately. Should TDKR have been a two-part film? One of the most common complaints I've heard of the film time and again is that too much was crammed into the film such that we didn't really see Bane's occupation in full force and only snippets of what could've been a grander story.

No. At most it could've used ten or fifteen minutes more.

Naturally I gotta vote for Clooney to upset the order of things. :o

Btw, many JL reviews say that Batfleck is dull, his line delivery is monotonous and he looks like he wants to be somewhere else.

I voted Keaton, for a change.

Doesn't surprise me about Affleck's ''can't be arsed'' look. Seems like Frank Miller's version was what he wanted to do and the quippy, team-playing good guy is out of his comfort zone.

Honestly, I'm glad because all of that footage that was in the trailers, I hated.

I like the shattered glass bit, and the Mercedes ad with what sounds like notes taken from Pacific Rim theme.

The deleted Willem Dafoe's scene? I'm kinda annoyed.

I've seen plenty of DC fanboys claim that Snyder's Gotham is perfect and the best. Really? It was so non-descript that you couldn't tell it apart from Metropolis. Which was also generic as hell. What makes DCEU Gotham so glorious?

We haven't even seen Gotham to make judgement. Just a bunch of rooftops and lightning flashing over the city.

You don't see Gotham so how could it even be considered the best of anything?

The deleted scenes from DaFoe and other supporting characters in the Flash or Aquaman universe...well I'm glad. There's no need, the general audience has no idea who these characters are and they're just in the original script as a means to set up future solo films anyway. So who cares. That was the problem with BvS, too much setting up. Just focus on the story at hand. Mera is more than enough.

Batman broke a window, and we had that warehouse fight akin to an Arkham battle.

Man, this movie seems like a complete mess. I'm so ready for a changing of the guard.

We were so lucky to have a director as gifted and competent as Nolan. No wonder Affleck wants out.

''But he's a nice guy''... like that's got anything to do with how crap of a director he is.

All I want to know is if there's going to be another "Martha" moment in JL.

I read that Superman's CGI lips are like this. :lmao:
