It wasn't bad. I thought it was extremely average. There's a lot of movies like the new Apes that gave me the same feeling. A lot of overrated films this year. Wonder Woman, Guardians, Spidey, IT, Baby Driver, The Last Jedi, Ragnarok, Brawl In Cell Block 99. None of these were bad films but they were all hyped up & didn't make me want to buy them on blu ray after a first viewing. Super overrated.

Yeah, there was definitely a lack of truly memorable films this year. To be fair I haven't seen many of the obvious Oscar contenders yet because of release dates.

That's a Star Wars movie, it's the norm to be overrated.

There's a lot of memorable films this year. Just not a lot of the action blockbusters.

I still need to see several but my favorite films this year so far (in no particular order) were Bladerunner 2049, The Disaster Artist, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, Logan, Split, A Ghost Story, Wind River, Dunkirk, The Big Sick, The Beguiled, Lady Bird, The Killing Of A Sacred Deer, I Tonya and Okja.

Finally got the 4k Dark Knight Trilogy. It is a bit different to see the colours toned down. Almost like it has a different hue. I find the interrogation scene to be a huge improvement though. Saw Begins and TDK...need to throw Rises in next.

I don't think there has been a year this good in a long time. I am struggling to think of a better year. Just with Baby Driver, 2049, Lady Bird, Logan, War, Three Billboards, TLJ, It and Dunkirk. That is really good, and I left off plenty.

I agree. It's been an exceptional year. We've had new films from Nolan, Edgar Wright, Villeneuve, and PT Anderson; M. Knight Shyamalan's comeback; the best superhero movie since TDKT and a DCEU movie that's actually good; among several others. Of course there's been a lot of crap too, but I'd call 2017 a plethora of riches not likely to be replicated in 2018.

A lot of fantastic films, so i can't complain, even though there were plenty of bad and average films like every other year. Justice League was always going to be a bag of garbage so it's impossible for me to be disappointed.
