So i guess he's the muscle in this movie. IF he is cast.

He'll be the Doomsday or that type of villain who just acts like a pure machine. No dialogue at all or a few lines depending on who he is. All visual.

Hey, for this universe im down with that, but it also makes me roll my eyes up a little bit because the new actors being cast in this movie are just nothing special in the acting department. The fact that Russell Crowe, Michael Shannon and Kevin Costner are out (all great actors) tells me that this movie desperately needs some talent. Lex Luthor needs to be like some Oscar nominee or winner.

Im also getting worried about the future Justice League. Im somebody who criticizes Avengers but at least they had some balance. I dont think Chris Evans is a great actor, but look at Downey/Sam Jackson/Scarlett/Ruffalo or even Renner. Look at their resume. Now look at the potential JLA. None of these folks (3 and counting) are probably ever going to get nominated for an oscar. They're just average actors when you take them out of context, outside of the superheroes they're playing. If they do the same for Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, etc....then im truly worried about seeing a massive team-up film where every hero is nothing to write home about as an actor. A bunch of wooden scenes or explosions, fights and one-liners. Avengers felt like that too but it at least had better talent across the board.

JLA probably wont have Amy Adams unless it's a cameo. Affleck, Gadot, Cavill work best whenever they have BETTER actors surrounding them in scenes. Which is why MOS worked with Henry. Imagine Cavill surrounded by no-name or very average versions of Lois, Jor-El, Ma/Pa Kent, Perry and Zod?? It would have been quite the disaster.

So we're going to have Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Flash(Rumored), Nightwing(Rumored), and Jason Momoa's character?

...

What about Amazo?? Or even killer croc. There are a lot of possibilities! I hope they confirm something soon!!
He's a Batman villain. Why would he be in a Supes mov...

Oh wait, nevermind... :o

Am i the only one that thinks this movie is getting to crowded? Ok, so WW is going be in the movie, hopefully as a small side character. This film doesn't need a villain. It should be about Batman confronting Superman. Leave it at that. Build up to movies with more characters, don'y throw everything into one film.

This is starting to look like a Spiderman 3 all over again.

What does, not everybody winning an oscar, have to do with good acting in a genre film?
By this measure, Ben's acting being "nothing to write home about" made him some sort of hindrance in the Town & Argo...when clearly he played his part well, as does cavill in mos(and as he did in Tudors imo).

no, not even remotely close to being the only one. It all depends on the execution, the number of major characters in a film doesn't determine quality

Depends if you also found X2 crowed, the LOTR films and if you are dreading guardians of the galaxy for it's amount of characters.
Not to mention things like the original matrix or terminator 2...etc

movies have ensembles. They just need to be designed around them.

Or TASM 2? :wow:

This.

And regardless, this movie has fewer confirmed characters than MOS so far.

Youve gotta be joking

Lobo would be sweet, never thought about him for that role but dang that would be cool.

I mostly agree with you. I don't think everyone in the film has to be an Oscar winner. As long as they play their roles well I don't care how prestigious of an actor they are.

Also I'd choose Chris Evans over Oscar nominee Renner any day of the week.

I dont literally mean an oscar winner. For Lex perhaps because Zack said himself that he'll be a huge star. But even though i enjoyed Ben in the Town, he's not a great actor. He can deliver solid if it's a good script with a good supporting cast. Same thing with Argo when you have the script plus Goodman, Cranston, etc. From what ive seen from Tudors, Cavill was OK. He was great in MOS because he fits Superman like a glove but mainly because he's there listening & responding to superior actors in scenes.

When i look at Avengers then look to JLA, yeaaah i get worried. The cast so far is very average (im being nice too). Theyre MEH on their own and the heroes of Justice League are literally the whole movie when you take away the villain (which could be a voice-over or motion cap for all we know). They ARE the leads and supporting cast of their own movie. And that's what worries me. This franchise doesn't have a Downey, a Sam Jackson, a Ruffalo, a Scarlett Johannson in the "lead role" spot. Gadot and Mamoa make Affleck look like a Downey up there.

MOS2 should be like gravity with superman just floating around in space for 2 hours.

or Burried Superman stuck in a box for 2 hours

or 127 Hours Superman in a cave for 2 hours

or Panic room Superman hiding from guys who want to steal his stuff

or Castaway Superman stuck on an Island somewhere

or Open Water Superman floating around in the ocean, maybe fighting sharks, as long as its not too many sharks. Don't want them taking away too much screen time from Superman.

Intersting rumor. I wonder who he could be? Unlike most on here I'm not concerned that people are being casted for a movie lol. Just like if Jimmy Olsen is cast I'm not going to throw a fit because he will just make the movie more crowded. I look forward to getting other people involved in this movie. Its not like everyone casted is going to have a major role or screen time. There were tons of people in the last movie that died. Zod, faora, and all the other kryptonians but no one was complaining then about how crowded it was? Weird I really don't get the reactions because they dont seem logical to me. They seem ticky tacky.

Id disagree with that and you know im not the biggest Renner fan. From what ive seen from Jeremy in the Town and American Hustle, he's better than anything Chris has done. At least whatever ive seen from Chris Evans.

But Hawkeye is no Captain America that's for damn sure. He deserved little screen-time.

Would love Lobo. That character was always bad ass to me lol.

:whatever:

Lobo would feel so off in this movie. That makes zero sense.

Or TASM 2? :wow:

TASM 2 is different. There is really only one hero "Spiderman". And the other characters you refer to are villains. Some of which, Vulture, and Doc Ock are probably post scenes. However the sinister six is a storyline they are building up to. The problem with this "Batman Vs. Superman" is its almost turning into JL. It's way to soon for that. WB has shown patience with it's properties, which is why throwing all these characters into a movie that's plot is going to be complicated as is, is to me disturbing.

The plot should be around batman confronting superman. Show some faith in that. These characters they are adding have complicated backgrounds and origins (obviously). So set them up appropriately.

Now, i dont have a problem if a major villain is set up for JL at the end, or a future villain for a stand alone. Perhaps that could be what get batman and superman on the same page.

I really want this to be done right and to be successful, and i think they are starting to juggle to many big characters at this point. IMO.

Fair enough.

I understand that people have concerns and I have them as well but I think people are overreacting to every piece of casting and news that comes out. People are acting like every casting choice will have 30 minutes of screentime each. Personally I'm just waiting to see what Goyer and Snyder have up their sleeve before panicking.

Like at first I was worried that Days of Future Past was getting way too crowded and then I realized that a lot of the new mutants were probably cannon fodder so I just let go of that particular worry.

I am betting my front right hoove he is playing Deathstroke.
