The first episode of The Adventures of Superman...I didn't know it dealt with Krypton

I hate this with an unrelenting passion. Since when is it ever ok to defeat your enemy with a freaking fruit roll-up? What's worse is that it does absolutely nothing. I'm not raging or anything, but come on. Why, oh Facepalm God?

That scene, along with similar others, are the reason I got rid of my original version of SII & copped the Donner version.

No fruit roll ups thrown at villains there. :word:

He didn't defeat him, he only impeded him with a fruit roll-up....which is fine.

And if that gets you...how about fruit roll-up cape......?

Non could have at least taken a bite out of the thing before it dissolved. As for the fruit roll-up cape, the entire SR suit looks like looks like it was made by Willy Wonka. Let's not even get started on the tiny m&m sized "S" all over the suit.

The weird speedo cut of that costume and the way it sort of sucked in Routh's chest really made it look like he had child bearing hips.

Awful, simply awful.

Routh looks so awkward in that photo. I know he's trying to do the classic Superman pose but he looks more like he's pulling his pants up after taking a dump.

Holy hell I enjoyed the hell out of this

Yep, he was supposed to be Superman but just ended up looking like some guy in a bad costume on the way to an office party. That suit is pathetic.

i would suggest all you amy haters go watch american hustle. if you don't find her gorgeous and sexy in the movie, then there's something wrong with you.

quote bradley cooper on amy in american hustle: "sex just doesn't get any sexier." :)

I really hope Superman Batman is a Superman first and foremost with Batman/Wonder Woman incorporated into it. It can be done without it seeming forced aswell. An example I can think of was Freddy vs Jason, it was really an Elm Street film but Jason got his fair share of screen time too. So fingers crossed its done right, seeing Lex cast at least gives me hope that its more Superman than Batman.

I'd be down with Superman as the lead character

or Superman/Batman as dual-leads, ala Xavier/Magneto in First Class.

I hope it is a Superman story - eg, dealing with Metropolis' rebuilding, the death of Zod etc with Batman merging into it all. So perhaps Bruce Wayne meeting Lex about contributing to the rebuilt efforts, Bruce being hesitant about Superman one day snapping, and so on. Have both characters compliment each other.

Yeah this isn't me talking about screen time just that I want it to be more of Clark's journey and it is easy to imagine Bruce/Batman working well with that. I just wonder where Wonder Woman fits into it all but guess we'll know more once we know the plot.

I think the best example/comparision I've read around here - and frankly, what I'm hoping for - would be "A New Hope"; in the sense that it's clearly about Luke's journey and is HIS story, but with Han and Leia being quite important and complementary to it.

I hope it pans out somewhat like that.

Maaaaaannn, I remember I used to like Lois & Clark when I was a kid, but I guess it was just because of having some sorta Superman on tv, when I look back on it I can't believe that I liked it...and Dean Cain looks and particularly SOUNDS like a little kid...I guess I never thought of how important the voice is for the character.

Season One is still surprisngly addictive once you get into it. But overall its not a great Superman show but its a good show (well first season) about Clark Kent and Lois Lane. For a long time I was sour on it but over time I've come to appreciate it abit more.

L&C? If someone digs it, fine. Different strokes and all. But if someone liked the Cain/Hatcher show but they think SUPERMAN:THE MOVIE is bad because it's "campy"? Well... I'd have no words. ;)

Can't disagree there L&C was more camp than any of the Superman movies imo. But like I said I do like that first season but its nowhere on the scale of the first 3 Chris Reeve movies, 4 however its definitely better than lol
