So you are saying that for the past 25 years every time Batman and Superman appeared on screen Batman made him look like a chump?
) That little bit of psuedo-cuckolding would bad enough, but that's not the only time stuff like that happens. Let's not mention the usual double standard stuff (Boring Superman that can do everything. Amazing Batman that can do anything
). This uneasiness is not unfounded roach. I love Batman, but they really have done a lot to stroke resentment of the character for many a DC fans. It's not just something we've pulled out of our collective sphincters.
I dunno. I'd like to be optimistic, but I have a suspicion Snyder's love of DKR will not work in Supes' favor, even if Snyder isn't adapting DKR. I fully expect the usual Bat-bias. The only question is the degree of bat-bias. If there's much batgodding, it will ruin the movie for me.![]()

Maybe he should sing a duet with Batman. Preferably of this song:

Would that make you happy?
I think it will, Snyder himself has stated that just because he's influenced by TDKR, doesn't mean that he's going to make Superman look like a chump. More specifically, he said that TDKR requires a different version of Superman.
Seeing what he created in Man of Steel, leads me to believe that he's not going to suddenly take a **** on Superman. Have more faith, Mrs. Kent...because:

that's what the symbol means...hope.
It is obligatory. Batman's "cool factor" is better protected than the president. And what really gets my goat is that people say things like "well, batman is cooler!" Is he really? When they have to be so intense about guarding him with plot protection? But I'm not going to claim I don't like batman or don't think he's cool because he was what got me into CBMs. But it seems odd to create a human character and sell him as "flawed" and "relatable" while making him do anything and everything. Why not just make him an alien? The problem is they are too unevenly matched. So perhaps the writers think they have to let batman win because superman winning would be too easy and expected. But the opposite seems more common until recently (some writers are trying to make supes more badass, perhaps they realized the batgod issue was happening).
And to be honest, I'm not sure how they're going to do a fight in the movie and avoid bias because batgod seems inevitable at this point. Or they'll go over board and make supes a *****ey bully.
Supes: It's not an 'S'. On my planet, it stands for 'hope'.
Lois: Well, here it stands for 'step aside for Batman'.

Before I respond to this post I just wanna start by saying that my allegiance is to Superman. Don't get me wrong I love the both of them and Batman is probably my favorite superhero 3 out of 7 days a week, but on the other 4 it's Superman.
But I'm sorry, the two of them ARE evenly matched. It has nothing to do with bias towards Batman. He might be a human character but that doesn't make him any less formidable a foe for Superman. He is still a superhero and he still has superpowers.
Batman's superpower is his intellect. The type of intellect that has enables him to conquer immeasurable odds and overcome seemingly impossible challenges. Superman is smart too but he's also shown that he is not above being outsmarted or outwitted. It's not much of a stretch to assume that Batman could discover a way to beat him.
That's what keeps Batman on an equal playing field with Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and the other members of the Justice League. His unparallelled intellect. The kind that can only be achieved through a lifetime of dedication and sacrifice.
Not Bat-god, Batman.
Just you watch. I don't thing they'd be including batman in the first place if he isn't getting the better of Supes.

Either way, it's a bet I'm willing to take.
I'll try to believe, Hopeman. But history is not in our favor...
It's a losing bet...just letting you know...he's going to steal the show.![]()
t:I wouldn't take that bet.
Superman is portrayed as an idealist, with his dreams and ideas being further away than what he thinks. His hope can be his greatest strength and weakness. I find it pretty interesting, and poignant in a way.Superman is rarely portrayed as intelligent.

People are afraid of what they don't understand, Mrs. Kent. When they see what Superman can do against Batman, it's gonna change everything; our...our beliefs, our notions of what it means to be human...everything.

That movie was so awesome. I didn't really like WW or Superman's portrayals though.[YT]2xuS1la8_nc[/YT]

It is poignant. I love that about supes and I don't mind antagonists exploiting it because it's in character for him to be like that. But...idealism isn't the same as stupidity. Like when supes flew right onto that Kryptonite island with Luthor in SR. Seemed rather dumb to me.
