I agree with you. If the new Batman Arkham Knight game could be made into a live action movie, that'd be great. We need an Arkham Batman movie!

Rorshach was talking about a serious house on serious earth. Not the video game series.

IMO this ^ is one of the most striking images in all Batman media. I'd love if they took some visual influence from that book for the next movie.

I thought that the joke about the man's pregnant wife was really dark and we never seen that type of humor with the joker in live action before.

“The guy goes into the hospital, okay? His wife’s just had a baby and he can’t wait to see them both.
So he meets the doctor and he says, ‘Oh, Doc, I’ve been so worried. How are they?’ And the doctor smiles and says, ‘They’re fine. Just fine. Your wife’s delivered a healthy baby boy and they’re both in tip-top form. You’re one lucky guy.’

So the guy rushes into the maternity ward with his flowers.

But it’s empty. His wife’s bed is empty.

'Doc?' He says and turns around and the doctor and all the nurses wave their arms and scream in his face. 'April fools! Your wife's dead and the baby's a spastic!!'”

I would like a solo batman movie to involve batmite, one way or another.

For the hypothetical solo flick, I'd suggest:

1. Affleck
2. Paul McGuigan. After rewatching A Scandal in Belgravia and focusing on the direction, I'd say McGuigan could offer a unique vision for a noir-based tale.
3. del Toro.
4. Ruben Fleischer (based on his excellent work in Gangster Squad.)

If Affleck does not direct next stand alone Bat Flick, then get Fincher in, at any cost.

Oh yes, definitely. Very dreamlike (in this case, a nightmare), but also unsettlingly realistic.

So is it really safe to say that nothing in that "fake script" that was released to the internet really won't happen?

Ok...I'm writing somewhat of an outline story, I'll post the first chapter when I'm finished.

What I'm doing is, copying the beginning of the fake script. In my version, Aquaman blows up the Russian ship to stop the attack on the US...BATMAN!

Is going to be hugely different. Let me know about this, because it was rumored for the actual movie.
Bruce Wayne, hasn't been Batman for close to 10 years. He's in self imposed exile. However, he still protects Gotham with his Bat-Drones! The reason being, 10 years prior, an event happened that completely changed him. The Joker captured Nightwing, Batgirl and Robin.
Dick was tortured, Barbara was paralysed and Jason was murdered.
This broke Bruce in an horrendous way...resulting in the apparent death of the Joker, by his hand.
This event completely destroyed The Batman and he was never seen again in Gotham from that night forward.
Dick took Nightwing over to Bludhaven and Barbara works as an analyst for her father.
Bruce severed all contact with his former partners and had Jason buried beside his parents grave. He lost his parents and his son, and the pain hasn't left him. He's filled with the anger at having to kill the Joker and is still going through self-hatred. He's not sure what he or Batman is capable of anymore and doesn't want anymore blood on his hands. He's lost himself and his quest for justice, has now become only a quest for vengeance. His Bat-Drones patrol the city in the dead of night, doing the job he's now too ashamed and afraid of taking up again. He let his anger and his hatred consume him...So, can an alien who he considers an enemy later on, bring him back to his good old self? :hmm

Thats what I was hoping TDK would've turned out. When we got our first glimpse of Ledger's Joker, I thought the atmosphere and overall aesthetic of the movie was going to be real dark, but it turned out to be a very brightly lit movie. Even the night scenes were bright.

Nobody can say for certain. I think some of the scenes in some of the scripts which have been circulating certainly could fit within the context of BvS but people wont know what scenes, if any have been similar until the movie gets closer. Then I'm sure people will be comparing the various scripts to the actual script used within the film.

I agree that some scenes could fit in with what should be happening in a sequel. Execution-wise, it was how I pretty much imagined it with how much screentime characters have been getting. In other words, it was very much both Superman and Batman's movie, it just features other DC characters. Also, the script depicted the statue to be clean and in good condition, weren't the set photos that have been circulating showed a broken statue? Would they also kill off Supes this early? Also where were the Bat-Drones?

The script was an admitted fake. The guy who wrote them even provided the raw files so that people wouldn't be fooled. No one knows what is in the actual script, we may have bat drones, we may not. Supes may be killed off, he may not. Right now, we just don't know.

I am surprised that none of the sites which reported on the script updated their reports to say that the script was a fake following yesterday's revelations.

You know what doesn't make a lick of sense? Batman being in sel exile because he killed the joker, and yet, continuing to fight crime with his drones. Kingdom come managed to make the drones stuff work, because it made sense in the story. Here, it doesn't make sense at all. If he was to stop being batman because he killed the joker, he would completely stop.

The arkham video game could be used as visual inspiration, and even for batman fighting skills. But storywise and characterization wise, they should stay away from that franchise (origins being the exception).

Oh yea definelty. I love Batman's fighting style in Arkham city and the visuals in Arkham Knight look amazing! Wait you didn't like the City and Asylum stories?

I think the stories are fine in all the games, it's just those stories only really work in a videogame setting where you have to actually interact with the environment and have checkpoints, boss fights etc. It's not the same kind of character progression that you'll find in books, comics or movies. It's a completely different medium of storytelling.

That's a good point, but it would be at least nice to take some inspirations from the stories.

You do have a point there.
But what I'm trying to come across in this story is, is that he's given up being Batman, but not his crime-fighting ways. I hated how Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne could just drop everything at the end of the movie, and leave everything to Blake.
The desire to help, that would still continue with this Bruce Wayne. But he's full of anger and hurt, and has lost himself. He's not who he once was, though his desire to still aid Gotham, hasn't gone away. That's his only contact and means of helping the city from afar in the way he wants deep down.

Though the drone thing didn't go down too well before, so I may scrap the idea lol
It needs to be more of an impact. The spirit Batman would need to explode back into action, that hasn't seen the light of day in 10 years.
Though I'll do things differently than TDKR.

I wouldn't mind a film centered around Arkham. Batman trapped in there or something. Inspiration both from the first game and Morisson's story.

I didn't understand you were writing your own version. Excuse me if I've been harsh.

Maybe he could give the police anonymous tips and still do some detective work.
